Prof. El-Minshawy receives a report on Assiut University's harvest in of innovation and entrepreneurship for the year 2024.

-    Prof. El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, reviewed a report on the harvest of the university's efforts in innovation and entrepreneurship, stressing that the year 2024 witnessed double attention by the university administration to serve the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, funding many scientific innovations for students, faculty members, and researchers, and supporting all ideas and innovations, which resulted in many of them receiving distinguished international and local awards.
-    Prof. El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut University is keen to qualify a new generation of promising university youth to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market and technological developments, pointing out that the university has the ingredients and capabilities that qualify it to reach the highest levels of leadership and excellence, and its students are distinguished by their ability to keep abreast of the latest technological education and advanced technology in various fields of science.
-    The report began its activities with the victory of the Assiut University College of Computers and Information (Silence) student team in the Arab-African Championship for Software and Systematic Solution Methods ACPC, organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport ACPC, in Luxor, where the team topped the twelfth place, out of 130 participating teams representing 16 Arab and African countries. Among (130) participating teams representing 16 Arab and African countries, he won the bronze medal in the competition; with the support and sponsorship of the Innovators and Brilliant Care Fund; where he was able to obtain the highest advanced positions among (4) university teams, namely the teams of universities (Cairo, Ain Shams, Sohag, and Assiut).
-    According to the report, the university organized an introductory meeting for the first NASA Space Apps Assiut competition, which was in coordination with the Entrepreneurship Club, the Integrated Technology Transfer Unit, and the Innovative Projects and Student Creativity Unit at the university. The competition aimed to find solutions to real challenges related to the environment, earth, and space, which are posed by NASA using the information and data provided by NASA to the participating students.
-    In 2024, the fourth edition of the largest tech festival in Upper Egypt, Devfest '24, was organized by Assiut University, in cooperation with Google Developers Group, under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where experts and innovators in various technological fields participated in the festival to explore new trends in technology and entrepreneurship, and answer the questions of developers through professional speakers in various technological fields.
-    The report noted that the Center for Future Studies at the university organized a training workshop entitled: “The uses of artificial intelligence and its future in the fields and specializations of the university's colleges and institutes,” in cooperation with the General Administration of Student Welfare to identify the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence in the field of education, and to popularize digital transformation in various educational paths, and to benefit from artificial intelligence applications to develop various educational systems, with the need to take into account the ethics and rules of using artificial intelligence techniques in all fields.
-    The report indicated that the university participated in judging the projects of the preliminary exhibition of the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), Abnoub Educational Administration, to spread and enrich the culture of scientific research among school students, as the ISEF competition - the International Science and Engineering Fair - is the largest science competition in the world for pre-university education.
-    The report also indicated that the university's Faculty of Engineering organized a dialogue session on “Graduate Traits and Labor Market Requirements” to achieve communication between its students, graduates, and relevant employers, in addition to qualifying students for the labor market, entrepreneurship, reducing the gap between the curriculum and the needs of the local and international market, and enhancing students' professional skills, with the participation of sectors of the Upper Egyptian Electricity Production Company (UEPC), in addition to the participation of the sectors of the Upper Egyptian Electricity Production Company.
-    Within the framework of the objectives of the National Strategic Plan for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and to promote entrepreneurship initiatives, and encourage innovation and creativity, Assiut University organized an entrepreneurship and innovation competition for its students, researchers, and faculty members. The competition included three fields: medical sciences, engineering, communication technology and artificial intelligence, and environment and energy, at the level of the university colleges and institutes, and included three categories: students at the bachelor's stage, researchers at the postgraduate stage, and faculty members; to support entrepreneurial ideas and innovative projects that contribute to the development of society.
-    The report also noted the launch of a seminar on “Labor Market Needs for Students and Graduates,” organized by the College of Computing and Information to qualify its students for the labor market: Dr. Amjad Bahaa El-Din, Human Resource Management Consultant at the Arab Academy for Administrative, Financial and Banking Sciences, and Engineer Ayman Ayad, Director of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) Assiut Branch.
