* 16,796 surgical operations performed and 28,074 hospital admissions recorded, with 91,568 cases received at the general reception unit.

    •    The Clinical Pathology Laboratories and Blood Bank at the main hospital obtained accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

    -    Opening of the new general reception unit, covering an area of 2,000 square meters, with a total cost of EGP 39 million.

    - Increasing the capacity of the hospital's central kitchen to preserve about (18) tons of meat and frozen products, in accordance with health requirements, to ensure food safety

    - Opening the distinguished residence house, at a cost of more than (5) million pounds, and equipping it with the latest means of accommodation, which includes (23) rooms and (46) beds, for doctors at

 Assiut University hospitals, as well as visiting doctors from other universities and international guests.

•    Inauguration of the marrow aspiration room in the hematology unit at the Department of Clinical Pathology.

•    Opening the specialized clinic for patients with immunodeficiency pemphigoid at the hospital's Dermatology Department.

•    Expansion projects aimed at increasing hospital capacity, including the inauguration of several specialized units within the General Surgery Department.

•    Opening a number of specialized units in the General Surgery Department.

•    Opening of the Critical Care Medicine Unit in the Internal Medicine Department.

•    Performing a delicate surgery on a patient and extracting the skewer from his neck while preserving the main blood vessels and nerves of his neck.

•    Successfully performing a complex microscopic surgery on a 36-year-old man to reattach his right and left hands, which were completely amputated, while preserving their motor functions.
