Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, the Faculty of Specific Education organized a scientific seminar entitled “Standards and Control of Research Tools,” held in conjunction with the opening of an art exhibition for postgraduate students under the title “Expressive Visions.” The event reflects the faculty’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of scientific research and appreciation of expressive arts. The activities were held under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Yasmine El-Kahki, Dean of the Faculty.
The event was attended by a number of faculty leaders, including:
Dr. Nariman Ishaq, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research,
Dr. Doaa Abdel Mohsen, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs,
Dr. Hala Salah Abdel Sattar, Head of the Art Education Department,
Dr. Hend El-Yadak, Head of the Home Economics Department, Dr. Asmaa Ali Ahmed, Professor of Clothing and Textiles and Chair of the Subcommittee on Research Ethics,and Dr. Zeinab El-Khatib, Lecturer in the Home Economics Department. The event also witnessed the participation of several faculty members and their assistants, administrative staff, and researchers.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting activities that integrate scientific and artistic dimensions, highlighting their role in enhancing research awareness and refining students’ creative skills. He also stressed the importance of designing research tools based on accurate methodological foundations and adhering to research ethics to ensure quality and credibility in an academic environment based on excellence and integration.
For his part, Dr. Gamal Badr stated that embedding research ethics is one of the fundamental pillars of academic excellence, noting that integrity and objectivity are essential to institutional and research advancement. He praised the seminar for raising awareness about the values of responsible research.
Dr. Yasmine El-Kahki expressed her appreciation for holding such events, which contribute to the development of students’ and researchers’ skills. She reaffirmed the faculty’s dedication to instilling academic ethics and scientific responsibility, and extended her thanks to the university administration for its continuous support of all scientific and artistic activities.
On the sidelines of the seminar,Dr. Gamal Badr inaugurated the “Expressive Visions” exhibition, which showcased a distinguished collection of artworks by postgraduate students in the Art Education Department. The works reflected the students’ expressive perspectives and their engagement with social issues in innovative ways.
The event concluded with honoring the participants in the exhibition and presenting certificates of appreciation to contributors to the “South-South Dialogue” journal, in recognition of their outstanding scientific and artistic contributions that embody creative awareness and research innovation.
