The Faculty of Fine Arts at Assiut University organized an art exhibition entitled "huli", under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and research, Dr. Mohammed Helmy Al-Hefnawi, dean of the College, Dr. Sahar Boutros, vice dean for community service and environmental development and head of the photography department, Dr. Hassan Al-Khatib, head of the graphic department, along with a selection of faculty members, the associate faculty, staff, and students of the college.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, stressed Assiut University's keenness to enhance the academic and cultural environment that encourages innovation and artistic expression, and supports the talents of students and faculty members, praising the efforts exerted by the technical staff of the Faculty of Fine Arts in presenting works that reflect the creative and aesthetic sense, and contribute to the consolidation of cultural identity and scientific excellence.
Dr. Jamal Badr expressed his happiness with the exhibited artworks, which reflect the level of creativity and talent of the participants, stressing the University's continuous support for artistic and research innovation, and the importance of spreading artistic awareness to enhance the creative and intellectual abilities of students and researchers.
For his side, Dr. Mohammed Helmi Al-Hefnawi explained that the exhibition represents an interactive artistic experience that will benefit artists, researchers and students alike. He pointed out that the exhibition lasts for two weeks in Hall (1) of the College, which provides an opportunity for students and visitors to see the works of art on display.
For her part, Dr. Walaa Ahmed Abdul Latif, the organizer of the exhibition and a teacher in the photography department, explained that the exhibition includes 15 paintings, pointing out that the term "huli" refers to the essence of the forms of the object, which in art expresses the basic layout of the image before its details are completed, and also symbolizes the raw material of the artwork, where the interaction between sense and mind is embodied through colors and lines, bringing the artwork to its final aesthetic value. She stressed that the artist is the medium that translates those perceptions and embodies them intellectually in the form of an integrated work of art.
