Dr. El-Minshawy: the festival supports communication between students and encourages volunteer work
Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the university organized the festival "Scouting asmars for tours and tours of the University's faculties" from March 16 to 20, in the Olympic Village, to develop the spirit of cooperation and participation among students. The festival came under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Madiha Darwish, general supervisor of student activities, and Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration of student welfare.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that this festival is an important opportunity to enhance communication between students of different colleges, in addition to motivating them to participate in student activities that are an essential part of the educational process. He also praised the role of mobile activities in consolidating the culture of giving and volunteering and helping students to serve society and the environment, in line with the University's strategy of preparing generations capable of creativity and giving.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula explained that the festival included a range of diverse events, including Scout movements, religious and scout songs, and introductory songs for CLAN members, and the University's team of Rangers participated in summer sessions within the activities of the festival, adding that these activities contribute to building the student's personality and enhance the spirit of participation and interaction in a university environment that stimulates cooperation and creativity.
100 students representing 7 faculties participated in the festival, namely: arts, commerce, law, nursing, early childhood education, social work, and sports science. The results, the Faculty of Social Work won the first place, followed by the Faculty of Arts in second place, and then the Faculty of law in third place.
The festival was organized with the participation of Mr. Mohammed Sayed, director of the Rangers activity department, student Martin Nasser, president of the University Students 'Union, student Salah al-Nadim, vice president of the University Students' Union, student Karim Osama, Secretary of the Rangers Committee, and student Tarek Mustafa, assistant secretary of the Rangers committee. The judging panel also included Mr. Ismail Hashim and Mr. Sharif Abdel Moneim from the Department of Rangers and Public Service.
