Under the supervision of Prof . Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the Faculty of Commerce celebrated the "day of scientific excellence" to honor the first students of the faculty for the academic year 2023/2024, with all study teams, in various programs (Arabic, English, APPIS, and BIS), which was organized by the scientific committee of the Students ' Union of the Faculty of Commerce, at the Nile Center for enlightenment and cultural radiation at the University.
The ceremony was organized under the supervision of: Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hafeez, dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Dr. Mohammed Adawi, vice dean for education and Student Affairs, and advisor to the president of the University for alumni affairs, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university administration is keen to support the outstanding students in various colleges and study programs, as one of the mechanisms of motivation, and to create a supportive environment for excellence and scientific excellence, explaining that the college has recently witnessed a great development in its services and educational mission, in order to graduate students with a high degree of skill and efficiency, and keep abreast of continuous developments in the labor market, wishing graduates success, as they take their first steps in working life.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hafeez thanked the university administration for its keenness to provide all forms of support to the Faculty of Commerce, pointing out that the faculty has been striving since its establishment 1963 to follow the latest scientific developments and apply them in courses and study programs, calling on graduates to continue practical training and work on self-development; to acquire various modern skills necessary to obtain the best opportunities in the labor market, which has become more competitive than before, wishing graduates continued success and success.
For his side, Dr. Mohammed Adawi congratulated all the students, wishing them a career full of achievements, aspirations, and hopes, and also thanked and appreciated all those who provided support to students throughout the school years, until reaching the graduation day, foremost of them the university administration, the college, and the families of graduates.
Mr. Tarek Sharit, director general of the Youth Welfare Department at the college, expressed his happiness with the participation of graduates on their harvest day, and the fruit of their efforts, throughout the previous years, thanking the parents of students for their efforts to care for and support their children, and also thanked the university administration for its continuous support to the Faculty of Commerce.
Student Abdul Rahman Mustafa, president of the College Students ' Union, expressed his deep appreciation and thanks to the University and college administration for providing material and moral support to the College Union, all students, as well as the staff in the college administration, for being the Unknown Soldier of what we are witnessing from the achievements of this day, calling on his colleagues to continue developing their skills and abilities to keep pace with the strong competition in the labor market.
At the end of the ceremony, the students of the Union were honored, and a number of (60) male and female students from the Arabic General Division program, (69) male and female students from the English language program, (30) male and female students from the BIS program, and(20) male and female students from the PPIs program were honored.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Amal Al-Dali, vice dean for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nesma Heshmat, vice dean for graduate studies and Research, Program Coordinators, a number of faculty members, their assistants, and students of various study teams.
The activities of the scientific excellence day were supervised by Dr. Abdulkarim Abu leifa, advisor to the Scientific Committee, Dr. Marwa Bakr, coordinator of student activities at the college, professor Tarek Sherit, director general of the Youth Welfare Department at the college, and student Abdul Rahman Mustafa, president of the college students ' union.
