Assiut University receives the delegation of the National Authority for Education Assurance and Accreditation to the Faculty of Computers and Information

under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad El-Minshawy, President of the University, on Sunday, February 23, the external audit team from the National Audit Group for Quality Assurance and Accreditation to the Faculty of Computers and Information, headed by Dr. Yasmine Fahmi, Professor of Communications at Cairo University, and in the presence of Dr. Ahmad Abdul Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Dr. Tayser Hassan Abdulhamid, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information. Dr. Ahmad El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, emphasized the university’s Department's keenness to keep up with quality standards and distinction, and to apply quality culture within educational institutions, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 in the development of higher education. He noted that the University was prioritizing all means of support for the institutionalization of colleges and academic programmes, noting that the University adopted standards that were consistent with the development needs of society, contributed to the promotion of scientific research and improved the quality of its outputs, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of the institution at the local, regional and international levels, and supported the achievement of sustainable development goals, through the graduation of competitive generations in the labour market. The audit team comprised Dr. Mustafa Arif, Professor of Computer Science at Ain Shams University, Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Essa, Professor of Information Systems at Port Said University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Muji, Professor of Information Systems at Mansoura University, and Dr. Walawa Medhat, Professor of Information Systems at Nile University. Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla commended the efforts of the College of Computers and Information in disseminating the concepts and culture of quality, and developing the capacity of the administrative system in all its departments and programmes. He also commended the unlimited support of the University Department of the College by providing all the necessary needs and resources, supporting young researchers and maximizing the use of available possibilities, thus contributing to the development of the research and technological process within the University. For her side, Dr. Tayser Hassan Abdulhamid explained that the purpose of the visit was to adopt an institutionalized faculty, in addition to the programmatic adoption of the information systems programme, stressing that the University administration was keen to develop its performance and institutional capacities in accordance with modern academic standards, which would reflect positively on scientific research and community service. The visit was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Ismail, Director of the Centre for Quality Assurance at Assiut University, Dr. Ahmad Hosni, lecturer of the Computer Science Department and head of the quality assurance unit of faculty of Computers and Information.
