The president of Assiut University receives Dr. Heba Saleh, president of the Information Technology Institute, to enhance joint cooperation in training students and supporting digital transformation

Dr. El-Minshawy: cooperation with the Institute of information technology is a step towards enhancing the skills of our students in the digital age

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, received on Wednesday, February 26, Dr. Heba Saleh, head of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) of the Ministry of communications and information technology, to discuss strengthening joint cooperation frameworks, within the framework of the two sides ' interest in building distinguished human capabilities in the fields of Information Technology.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, Engineer Ayman Ayad, dean of the Institute of Information Technology in Assiut, Professor Hossam al-Naqib, advisor to the president of the Institute of Information Technology, and engineer Sherif Sharaf, Assistant to the president of the Institute for training.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy welcomed Dr. Heba Saleh, stressing the keenness of the university administration to strengthen and increase the volume of cooperation with the Institute of information technology to train the largest number of students and graduates of Assiut University on the advanced training tracks required in the labor market, in the fields of ICT and digital transformation, through the Institute's branch at the University.

The president of Assiut University pointed out that the cooperation with the IT Institute reflects the general trend of the state towards building qualified cadres in artificial intelligence, data analysis, information security, and modern software applications, in line with the digital transformation strategy and Egypt's Vision 2030.

For her side, Dr. Heba Saleh, president of the Information Technology Institute, explained that the Institute seeks to support students and graduates in various Egyptian universities through advanced training programs that keep pace with the needs of the local and global labor market. She also expressed her happiness to be present at the prestigious Assiut University to participate in the opening of the permanent exhibition of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Institute's branch at the University, and the final presentation of the results of the Institute's summer training during the period from July 2024 to February 2025.

Dr. Heba Saleh praised the status of Assiut University and its scientific value, and its interest in supporting young people interested in innovation in the fields of information and communication technologies, which meet the need of the labor market, whether local or international, and contribute to increasing their competitiveness.

The meeting witnessed a review of the most prominent training programs offered by the Institute, in addition to discussing the mechanisms of implementing training programs within the University, which contributes to enhancing students ' skills in digital fields and preparing them for the requirements of the modern labor market.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides expressed their aspiration to strengthen joint cooperation during the coming period to serve the goals of technological development in Egypt and support national efforts in digital transformation and building a knowledge-based economy.
