- Dr. El-Minshawy: Al-Azhar is a scientific and religious Beacon radiating knowledge and enlightenment

- The president of Assiut University thanks the sheikh of Al-Azhar and the Azhar leaders for their efforts in promoting the message of Al-Azhar

   Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, praised the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif mosque as one of the most prestigious religious and scientific institutions in the world, on the occasion of the celebration of the annual day of its foundation, which coincided with the 1085th anniversary of its establishment on the seventh of the holy month of Ramadan.

 The ceremony was held today, Thursday, March 6, at the conference hall of the Hussein Rushdi secondary Al-Azhar girls Institute in Assiut, under the supervision of His Eminence Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice-president of Assiut University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Mahmoud, head of the central administration of Assiut Al-Azhar region, Dr. Husseini Hammad, member of the board of senior scholars, on behalf of Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Malik, Vice-President of Al-Azhar University for the tribal face, in addition to Reverend Amos basta, church representative, Sheikh Sayed Abdul Aziz, secretary general of the Egyptian family house, a number of Islamic and Christian religious leaders, and executive leaders.

 The shields of Honor were also presented as a gift from the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, to Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, and Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president of Assiut University for education and student affairs.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed in a statement that Al-Azhar, which was founded more than a thousand years ago, is still considered a scientific and religious Beacon radiating knowledge and enlightenment, and that he introduced many scientists and thinkers who contributed to enriching science and thought in the Arab and Islamic world. He added that Al-Azhar reflects the values of moderation and moderation, and continues to play a pivotal role in guiding new generations, contributing to the dissemination of moderate thought and tolerance.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy thanked the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, for his continuous efforts in maintaining Al-Azhar's position as a leading institution in the fields of education and religion, and also thanked all the Azhar leaders who contribute to consolidating Al-Azhar's lofty message.
