Al-Minshawi is on an extensive visit to the university's faculties to inspect their environmental activities within the activities of “Assiut University and Our Green Future”

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, declared that the university’s administration is carrying out its part in raising the awareness of its youth by directing their attention towards the most important issues locally and regionally. Thus, it informs them of the most important crises and challenges facing Egypt as well as the surrounding countries. 

This statement came during an extensive visit by the president, which included all university faculties, to inspect the environmental activities within the university. This visit was part of the activities of "Assiut University and Our Green Future."  Dr. El-Minshawy was accompanied by Dr. Maha Kamel Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Thabet Abdel Moneim, Director of the Center for Environmental Studies and Research; a group of deans, faculty members and students; and representatives of some military, executive, popular and religious authorities in the governorate. 

Dr. El-Minshawy proclaimed that the celebration coincides with the ongoing preparations for Egypt's launch of the Cop27 climate summit. The summit aims at educating young people about their role in protecting the environment. He also stated the major environmental crises that require the unite of the peoples of the world to preserve the cleanliness of the environment and its resources and protect them from dangers. 

For her part, Dr. Maha Kamel Ghanem explained that the tour included the visit to the faculties of Early Childhood Education, Fine Arts, Agriculture, Physical Education, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Medicine, Computers and Information, Dentistry, Engineering, Commerce, Law, and Education. The faculties competed in dealing with environmental issues, in various forms, whether by distributing pamphlets, paintings, handicrafts, wall magazines, or documentaries. Moreover, some memorial trees were planted in some colleges as they participated in the celebration. 

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla praised the students' participation in the celebration of "Assiut University and Our Green Future". He also expressed admiration for the awareness of the students in various environmental issues. Such awareness appeared in their environmental activities.
