Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, the University's Center for Students with Disabilities held a training course in digital transformation for its students with visual impairment, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Omnia Abdel Qader, Director of the Center, and Dr. Jamal Al-Sawy, Administrative Director of the Center, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla.
Prof. El-Minshawy stressed Assiut University's keenness to provide all services and facilities for students with disabilities, and to provide educational services and distinctive student activities for them, and to provide digital transformation courses within the center's various activities that come within the framework of implementing the university's comprehensive plan to integrate its students with disabilities in various fields in the university community, and its keenness to fully support and care for them; in implementation of the vision of the Egyptian state that is moving towards digital transformation in its various sectors completely, and puts people with disabilities at the forefront of its concerns.
Dr. Omnia Abdel Qader explained: The training course included (25) students with visual disabilities, and lasts for (3) months, and is implemented by the trainer; Hadeer Mahmoud, who has dual disabilities (blind and motor disabilities), and is a trainer specialized in computers and assistive technologies for people with visual disabilities, certified by HALAM, and has obtained training courses from AMIDEAST and UNICEF to train people with visual disabilities on all modern technologies.
