Colonel Mohamed Abdel Razzak reviews the role of the Administrative Control Authority in supporting the efforts of the Egyptian state and protecting the capabilities of the homeland “Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, opened today, Thursday 12 from December; the University's celebration events on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which was organized by the General Administration of Information Systems and digital transformation at the University, and the general administration of public relations and media, in cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority in Assiut, in the presence of Colonel Mohamed Abdel Razzak, deputy head of the Office of the Administrative Control Authority in Assiut, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Adawi, director of the Center for future studies, and advisor to the president of the University for innovation and entrepreneurship.

   The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president of the University for community service and Environmental Development, Professor Shawkat saber, secretary general of the University, Dr. Mustafa Mohamed Morsi, coordinator of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, and professor Gharib Khairy, director general of public relations and media, with the participation of a number of deans, vice deans of various colleges, advisers to the president of the university, faculty members, university administrative leaders, employees, and a large crowd of university students.

  The celebration began its activities by presenting an introductory video of the University's most prominent activities and events to promote awareness among its students and all members of its society of the need to combat corruption and consolidate the principles of transparency, integrity and respect for human rights within the various faculties and sectors of the University.

  At the beginning of his speech, prof. El-Minshawy expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Administrative Control Authority for its leading role in supporting the efforts of the Egyptian state in combating corruption, and its participation in the activities of Assiut University aimed at achieving integrity and transparency, in an effort to protect the capabilities of the nation and preserve the gains of development, pointing to the sincere determination of the political leadership to address all forms of corruption and adopt supportive strategies to prevent it; to create the appropriate environment for the implementation of comprehensive development programs in all fields.

  The president of Assiut University pointed to the beginning of the launch of President Abdel Fattah al – Sisi, president of the Republic, of the first national strategy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of combating corruption during the period from 2014-2018, and the launch of the second phase 2019-2022, with a clear vision, and with the aim of reaching "a society that recognizes the risks of corruption, rejects it, and values integrity", the third phase of the National Anti - Corruption Strategy (2022/2030) was launched on December 15, 2022.

  Prof. El-Minshawy said that the fight against corruption is a Will and a national platform to promote the principles of integrity and transparency within the framework of an integrated system to protect against corruption and preserve public money, stressing that Assiut University is keen on the governance of all policies, procedures, and services it provides, and the development of internal audit mechanisms to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency in various sectors, and enhance transparency and accountability by monitoring any violations or excesses of the laws and regulations in force, and thus improve the overall performance of university administrations, colleges, institutes, and hospitals.

  Prof. El-Minshawy reviewed a number of events that reflected Assiut University's efforts to activate the executive actions of the National Anti - Corruption Strategy, including a lecture today on "governance and comprehensive and sustainable development policies in Egypt", and organizing a series of awareness seminars on the objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy at various faculties and sectors of the University, in addition to establishing the Assiut University model-simulating the United Nations Multilateral Convention in the field of anti-corruption, as well as the training program in the field of anti-corruption (Grace).

The president of Assiut University stressed that falsifying awareness, promoting rumors, spreading lies is a form of corruption, as well as disrupting procedures, and abusing position to achieve material gain, power, or influence at the expense of others.  
  
  During the celebration, Colonel Mohammed Abdul Razzaq presented an introductory video, which reviews the role of the Administrative Control Authority in supporting the state's efforts to move towards the future, maintain infrastructure gains, and protect the nation's capabilities by adopting clear methodologies to monitor corruption, raise awareness of its risks, develop a new vision for crisis management, and pay attention to training to prevent corruption and ways to prevent it.

The member of the Administrative Control Authority also reviewed the negative effects of corrupt practices; economically, politically, socially, and legally, explaining the classification of regulatory authorities within the Arab Republic of Egypt; according to the state authorities, and the vision of the Egyptian constitution in the field of combating corruption, he also explained the most important tasks, competencies of the Administrative Control Authority, the powers of its members, and the crimes that the authority specializes in controlling, referring to the activity of the National Anti-Corruption Academy, its role in providing knowledge and training services to the Egyptian society, and presented a number of short awareness videos, indicating the losses of corruption, referring to she stresses that the administrative control body is "partners in protecting the interests of the homeland".

During his lecture on "governance and policies for comprehensive and sustainable development in Egypt", Dr. Mohamed Adawi explained the concept of good governance and policy governance as a kind of participation among all active forces in the state, which is based on the proper use of available resources, promoting the values of transparency, accountability and accountability, participation, the rule of law, justice, inclusiveness, merit and merit, pointing to the role of governance in making decisions in the best ways, providing new management patterns characterized by rationality, as well as discussing the dimensions of accountability and accountability; as tools for institutional reform, and governance, and its contributions to achieving comprehensive development.

Dr. Mohamed Adawi gave a reading on the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, in the third stage of 2023/2030, which adopts a number of goals, the most important of which is an efficient administrative apparatus that provides excellent services to citizens and investors, a legislative and judicial structure that achieves efficient justice, as well as modern and developed bodies to save the law, build a society aware of the risks of corruption, as well as effective international and regional cooperation to combat corruption, concluding his lecture by reviewing the efforts of Assiut University, and its most prominent activities in the field of anti-corruption; to complete the March of the Egyptian state, and build awareness of youth.

The ceremony witnessed the dedication of the University Shield presented by Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy to Colonel Mohammed Abdul Razzaq in recognition of his important participation through the celebration activities, and to enhance joint cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority in Assiut.

After the ceremony, the attendees discussed with a member of the Administrative Control Authority a number of questions related to Information Crimes and the procedures to be followed to address fake pages, apply successful anti-corruption experiences, confront corrupt officials, and the legal responsibility imposed on them, as well as discussing a proposal to add a course related to anti-corruption to prepare university students before they start the labor market, and provide them with the principles of transparency and integrity.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, addressed the need for all state institutions to unite behind the wise political leadership, especially in light of these difficult conditions witnessed by neighboring countries, and to preserve this strong entity existing in the Arab Republic of Egypt, demanding to confront corruption vigorously, counter any attempt to spread rumors, instill a spirit of frustration, and work hand in hand to integrate the reform of the administrative system, and achieve Egypt's vision and strategy 2030.
