Dr. El-Minshawy meets the Governor of Assiut to enhance cooperation and support community and development initiatives

  Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, hosted this morning Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, in a meeting to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the University and the governorate, support the University's community role, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt's Vision 2030, within the University's strategy (2024-2029).

 

During the meeting, they discussed implementing a community development initiative aimed at addressing health challenges in Assiut Governorate through cooperation between Assiut University doctors, doctors of the Ministry of Health, Nursing, and pharmacists. This initiative contributes to solving the existing health crises and upgrading the level of medical services provided to citizens.

 

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy welcomed Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, and his accompanying delegation, expressing his pride in the close relations between the University and the governorate, and stressing Assiut University's constant keenness to deepen and expand this cooperation to serve the local community.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy pointed out that Assiut University is a major partner in achieving community development and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, in addition to its leading role in the development of the medical sector, and upgrading the academic, educational and research process alike.

 

For his part, Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, expressed his appreciation and pride for Assiut University and its active role in serving the community, praising its scientific competencies and distinguished medical facilities that represent a strong addition to Assiut Governorate.

 

The governor stressed that Assiut University has a clear footprint locally and internationally, as its graduates and professors occupy prestigious positions in many countries of the world, which reflects its scientific leadership and its role as a national and International House of expertise in various fields.

 

The meeting was attended by: Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Mina Emad, deputy governor of Assiut, Dr. Dia al-Din Abdul Hamid, captain of Assiut doctors, Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, professor at the Faculty of engineering, Assiut University, vice president of Assiut private university for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, dean of the Faculty of law and legal adviser to the president of the University, and professor Shawkat saber, secretary general of the University.
