Dr. El-Minshawy: Assiut University instills the concepts of fasting and charity work among children through a Ramadan simulation
Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the Faculty of Early Childhood Education nursery organized, today, Thursday, February, "a simulation of some of the activities of the holy month of Ramadan in our beloved Egypt," under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president of the University for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Yara Ibrahim, dean of the College, Dr. Lamia Kadwani, vice dean of the college for community service and environmental development, and professor Marwa Jaafar, director of the nursery.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy explained that the simulation came on the occasion of the approaching of the holy month of Ramadan, and in order to simplify the religious and moral aspects for children, so that they can absorb religious rituals such as fasting, prayer, suhoor, Iftar, and all aspects of celebrating the holy month.
The president of Assiut University added that the month of Ramadan is a great opportunity for children to learn from fasting, and gain Islamic values such as patience and giving. It is also a good time to instill the values of charity, as children learn the importance of helping those in need through charity and volunteer work.
For his side, Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Alim praised the simulator, which encouraged children to participate with their parents in prayer, reading the Koran, Dua, as well as introducing them thanks to the fasting iftar, the womb link in Ramadan.
Dr. Yara Ibrahim explained that the simulation was attended by (30) from college nursery children, and(23) from integrated care kindergarten children in Assiut, under the executive supervision of college students, and included religious and cultural activities, artistic and representative performances, highlighted the importance of fasting and its benefits, and Ramadan manifestations on the streets of Egypt.
The event was attended by Dr. Ghada sweifi, vice dean of the college for education and Student Affairs, a number of faculty members and staff of the college and the College Nursery, in addition to Ms. Scheherazade Hashem, director of the integrated care kindergarten in Assiut, and a number of kindergarten teachers.
