Prof. El-Minshawy: the convoy provided services for (933) cases with the participation of professors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Assiut University
Assiut University, under the supervision of Prof . El-Minshawy, president of the university, launched a comprehensive veterinary convoy to the village of "Riva" in Assiut governorate, organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the university, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdulalim, vice president of the University for community service and environmental development, and Dr. Madiha Darwish, dean of the College, in cooperation with the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Assiut.
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stated that the convoy is being carried out within the framework of Assiut University's contribution and its active participation in the Presidential Initiative "a new beginning for Human building", and as a continuation of the series of comprehensive development convoys launched by the university; within the framework of the University's keenness to harness its scientific and human potential to develop the services provided to Assiut Governorate, and the development of livestock and poultry in its regional scope.
The president of Assiut University explained: the convoy provided services for (933) cases in various veterinary specialties, including detection, diagnosis, provision of medical supplies, free medicines, vaccination services, spraying, disinfection of animals; to protect them from diseases, transfer of pathological cases to the Veterinary Hospital at the university, as well as television diagnostics and immunization of Animals against various diseases, with the participation of professors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Assiut University.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Abdulalim explained that the convoy was attended by a group of professors and veterinarians in the specialties (surgery, obstetrics, animal medicine, avian and rabbit medicine, animal health, animal behavior and care. He added that: the convoy comes in cooperation with the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Assiut, in order to provide awareness and veterinary guidance to the farmers of the village; in order to achieve sustainability with artificial animal resources.
Dr. Madiha Darwish added that the veterinary convoy provides free awareness and guidance services, conducting medical examinations and diagnosing animals in all veterinary specialties, adding that the veterinary convoys organized by the College have an important role in practical training for students.
The convoy witnessed the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Rushdi, vice dean of the college for community service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. hosnia soueifi Abdul Mohsen, head of the Department of animal and poultry health and Environmental Health, Dr. Thabet Abdul Monem, professor at the Department of Forensic Medicine and toxicology, Dr. Fatima Ali Mahmoud, professor at the Department of animal behavior and poultry care, Dr. Amira Adel Taha, professor at the Department of animal medicine, Dr. Salah Qutub, Director General of Veterinary Medicine in Assiut, Dr. Khalid Faza, head of Veterinary convoys at the Directorate, in addition to the participation of a number of the eployee staff, supervisors, technicians, and college staff.
