Within the framework of the Beginning initiative:Faculty of Fine Arts at Assiut University finishes art workshops for school students  

Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University; the Faculty of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the Department of Gifted and Intelligent Learning at the Directorate of Education in Assiut, concluded today the training workshops to develop the skills and artistic abilities of students of the preparatory and secondary stages, which were held during October, November, and December, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice-president of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Abdulalim, vice-president of the University for community service and environmental development, and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Desouki, undersecretary of the Ministry of education in Assiut.

 The last two of the series of training workshops were carried out during the days of11, and 12 this December, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Salah, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, supervisor of the photography department, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Hakim, vice dean for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Hassan al-Khatib, head of the graphic department, and Mr. Ahmed Otiefy, director of student welfare at the College, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Helmi Al-hefnawi, vice dean for graduate studies and Research Affairs, and several faculty members and staff at the college.

Dr. El-Minshawi stressed the keenness of the university administration to cooperate with the educational departments; in the implementation of the Presidential Initiative "A New Beginning for Human Building", which is concerned with human development in various fields, through the organization of art workshops; to develop the abilities of artistically gifted students in the preparatory and secondary stages, praising the role of the Faculty of Fine Arts in discovering talented school students, working to refine their talents, and helping them benefit from them both in university studies and in the labor market.

Dr. Khaled Salah, declared that  (6) training workshops for school students, was organized over 3 months, indicating a high level of student participants, and that demonstrated the talents of beautiful, creativity, and innovation, explaining that the paper contained a definition of the areas of the Fine Arts different, and how to implement a work of art, the most important foundations, indicating that the last workshop was implemented with participation of (36) of the students of the preparatory stage on Wednesday 11th of December, in the workshop of photography training on drawing the various tools, and(44) Students from the High School, on Thursday 12th of December, in the workshop of the GPU, for training on the business of printing, graphic, using the technique of silkscreen, and print the money.

 The photography workshop was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Wala Abdul Latif, a teacher in the photography department at the College of Fine Arts, while the graphic workshop was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Heba Fawzi, a teacher in the department, and several members of the associate faculty and students of the College participated in their implementation.

The two workshops were supervised by Mr. Sayed Al-Sharif, Director General of executive affairs at the Directorate of Education in Assiut, Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Malik Hassan, director of the Department of Gifted and intelligent learning at the Directorate, Mr. Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Kar, Director General of social education at the Directorate, and administrative leaders at the college, with the participation of Supervisors of the Departments of Assiut educational, Sahel slim educational, and about (٨٠) students from several schools of the two departments, preparatory and secondary.
