The Faculty of Education in Assiut organizes seminars and educational events in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for tourism promotion in Assiut and the fund for combating and treating addiction and abuse at the Council of Ministers
Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the Faculty of Education organized, today, Wednesday, December 4, educational events; within the activities of the president of the Republic's initiative for Human Development" Bedaya", under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, vice president of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hassan Hawail, dean of the college.
The events came in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in Assiut, the Addiction and Abuse Control and Treatment Fund at the Council of Ministers, the organization of the General Administration of Student Welfare, and the General Department of Public Relations and Media at the university, under the supervision of Dr. Amr Osman, First Assistant Minister of social solidarity, and the director general of the addiction and Abuse Control and Treatment Fund, Dr. Madiha Darwish, the general supervisor of student activities at the University, and in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Jaber, vice dean for education and Student Affairs, and several department heads, faculty members and students.
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the University's keenness to continue participating in the Presidential Initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building”, in coordination with state institutions; and contributing to spreading community awareness, promoting heritage culture and national identity among young people, and reviving the national heritage in a way that contributes to the development and development of society in general, by promoting events that highlight tourist attractions and their role in supporting heritage and culture.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla praised the excellence of the college's students in various student activities at the University, calling on them to participate in the various awareness and training programs provided by the University in cooperation with various ministries and bodies to build their personality and develop their intellectual, physical and psychological abilities.
Dr. Hassan Hawil welcomed the guests of the faculty, praising the efforts of the university administration in the development of all faculties and sectors, and its keenness to actively participate in the presidential initiatives aimed at educating students to pay attention to health and exercise sports under the New Republic, which puts the Egyptian human being at the forefront of its priorities.
The seminar dealt with "a new beginning; to build a human being", during which Dr. Samir Abdul Tauab, director of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in Assiut, lectured on the ancient history of Assiut, tourist attractions, and antiquities in Assiut Governorate, as well as attention to Egyptian women and the rights of families in wars.
The seminar dealt with" combating the spread of narcotic substances among students", during which Dr. Nadi Sayed Ali, adviser to the fund for combating and treating addiction, and abuse at the Council of Ministers, lectured, explaining the different types of drugs, the serious effects of each of them on human health, physical, psychological and mental, and the harms of misuse of drugs without medical supervision, in addition to presenting the services provided by the fund within the province, as well as the role of the state in supporting addiction treatment centers, providing possibilities, psychological and social support for recovering from addiction.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Department of Student Welfare, Mr. Gharib Khairy Zaki, director of the General Department of Public Relations and Media, and Ms. Umaima Ibrahim, director of the Department of Social Activity and Excursions at the General Department of student welfare, participated in supervising the events.
