Prof. El-Minshawy: Assiut University is an enlightening institution that plays a prominent role in promoting the values of loyalty and belonging to the homeland

  Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, reviewed a report on: the most prominent activities of the University and its distinctive efforts to develop students 'national awareness, promote the values of loyalty and belonging to the homeland, in several directions; with the aim of distinctive interaction with all national events, current events and issues, organizing many events, seminars, educational meetings, hosting symbols of national figures; to raise students' awareness of the great to spread a real and enlightened awareness of the nature of the challenges surrounding the Egyptian state.

  The report reviewed the University's celebration of Sinai Liberation Day, based on the great value of this occasion, which embodies the commitment of the Egyptian people to every inch of their land, and sacrifice in order to restore pride and dignity, in defense of the precious land of Egypt, where the university organized in cooperation with the popular defense forces and the military; the educational seminar (sixty - third), under the title: "Call of the fatherland", during which Dr. Ghada Amer, dean of the Faculty of engineering-Misr University of Science and technology, and fellow of the National Defense College in the field of artificial intelligence and technology, on: "Wars asymmetric (atypical) modern wars", which aimed to sensitize young people to the most important challenges facing the homeland, foremost of all; rumors, fourth-generation wars, which aim to destabilize, distrust between society and state institutions, which need to join efforts to preserve the unity, safety of the homeland, its stability, and build a new republic based on national awareness among all its members, as was done during the celebration; honoring the families of the martyrs of Assiut governorate, who gave their lives in carrying out raids, and combating terrorism in North Sinai.

The report pointed to the University's participation in Egypt's celebrations of the eleventh anniversary of the June 30 Revolution; an educational seminar was organized entitled:" The role of the June Revolution in maintaining Egyptian national security", which was delivered by Major General Dr. engineer Osama El Gamal, a fellow of the National Defense College/ Military Academy for graduate and Strategic Studies, which aimed to enhance awareness among young people about the challenges facing Egyptian national security, and instill a spirit of loyalty and belonging to the homeland among young people.

Assiut University regained the Fifty-first anniversary of the glorious October victories with an educational seminar, during which Major General Dr. Mohammed Al-Ghobari, former director of the National Defense College, lectured, entitled: "Strategic Planning for war, strategic defense"; in order to raise awareness among students, strengthen affiliation, patriotism, and introduce students to the memory of the October victories; as one of the most prominent historical stations in the March of the dear homeland.

An art exhibition was organized from the creations of Assiut University students entitled: "October in the conscience of the people", which highlighted the students ' vision; about the victories of October, which was organized by the General Administration of student welfare, and included (50) artwork for students of the Plastic Arts Department of the arts department, students of the third and fourth divisions of the Faculty of Fine Arts, from the Departments of photography, decoration, graphic, and students of the Faculty of specific education.

Assiut University has had an active and influential role in the events of the Gaza Strip - since its beginning on the seventh of October 2023 
-where Assiut University Hospitals received a group of Palestinian siblings of patients with chronic diseases, as well as the injured of the Gaza Strip, in order to provide health and medical care to them, in light of the shortage of medicines, and aspects of medical care in the Strip; due to the Israeli attack, an entire wing of the distinguished Housing Unit (B) was equipped to receive the escorts of Palestinian siblings ' cases.

The report also pointed to the participation of thousands of students in marches and protest stops inside the university campus in solidarity with the people of Gaza and condemning the Israeli occupation army's attacks on civilians in the Strip, and in support of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's decisions to reject the displacement of Palestinians to Sinai.

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut University is keen through these events, and many others, to strengthen the Egyptian national identity, develop national consciousness, prepare new generations to take root with the values of belonging and loyalty to the Egyptian state, preserve the capabilities of the homeland, and participate effectively in the comprehensive development process.
