Prof. El- Minshawy praises the second joint educational seminar of the popular defense and military forces held at Minya University

Prof. El-Minshawy appreciates the efforts of the popular defense forces and the military for their active role in training, raising awareness and helping university students 

   Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, praised the activities of the second combined educational seminar for the youth of Egyptian universities, organized by the armed forces, represented by the popular defense forces and the military, yesterday, Tuesday, February 18, 2025; in cooperation with the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, in the Minya University campus, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, Major General of the governor of Minya, and a number of presidents of Egyptian universities and their deputies, deans of colleges, military, Executive, and popular leaders, Islamic and Christian clerics, and university students.

   Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawiy expressed his happiness with Assiut University's participation in the educational seminar, which reflects the state's interest in intellectually and culturally qualifying young people, and instilling the values of national belonging among university and institute students, with the aim of protecting the nation's gains and advancing progress towards a better future, which is in line with Egypt's Vision 2030, which focuses on investing in people as a basic pillar of sustainable development.

  The president of Assiut University praised the efforts of the popular defense forces and the military in strengthening cooperation with Egyptian universities through organizing educational seminars aimed at raising awareness and developing a sense of patriotism among Egyptian youth, especially university students who represent the future of the country and its real hope in building the New Republic.

The president of Assiut University expressed the University's appreciation for the role provided by the popular defense forces and the military, through the Department of military education at Assiut University, to its students, training and awareness contribute to instilling the values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland.

  Prof. El-Minshawy also thanked Dr. Essam El-Din Farhat, President of Minya University, for the warm welcome and hospitality, adding that this meeting truly expresses the wonderful cohesion between the state institutions, which remains the backbone, the real strength in facing problems and challenges, and moving at a steady pace towards the future, and a thorn in the throat of all enemies of the homeland. 

  The event was attended by Assiut University; Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Duaib Saber, dean of the Faculty of law, legal advisor to the president of the University, Dr. Hassan Hawil, dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Khaled Salah, dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Magdy Alwan, dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Mohammed Helmi Hefnawi, acting dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Wajdi Refat, former dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Rabi, director of the Military Education department, and Mr. Gharib Khairy, Director General of the department Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration of student welfare, and Mr. Mahmoud Antar, Director General of university cities, and a student delegation of (200) students; under the supervision of the General Administration of student welfare and the general administration of university cities.

 The professors and students expressed their happiness at that meeting, and their sense of pride at what the Armed Forces provide to university youth.

  The activities of the seminar included: playing the martyr's peace, presenting a number of national songs to the Sohag University Choir, a set of religious devotions to the religious chanting team at Assiut University, led by Maestro Talaat Bakri, a war story for students of South Valley University, and then a lecture by Professor Nashwa Al-houfi, director of cultural Publishing at Nahdet Misr publishing house, on raising awareness among young people of the most important challenges and conflicts on the world stage, their impact on Egyptian security, the magnitude of the Egyptian state's efforts to protect its security and stability, and showing a film entitled "The Trinity in addition to honoring a number of families of martyrs and students of determination from participating universities, the seminar concluded with the National Peace Concert of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

  It is worth mentioning that the seminar was attended by a number of Egyptian public and private universities, namely: (Minya, Assiut, Sohag, South Valley, Luxor, Aswan, New Valley, Deraya, Lotus, and Sphinx).
