- Dr. El-Minshawy: Assiut University confirms its commitment to social responsibility and support community events in Ramadan
Within the framework of its community role and promoting the values of solidarity and social solidarity, Assiut University, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, represented by Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, participated in the collective Iftar ceremony organized by the youth of the Arbaeen district in the western neighborhood of Assiut City, on Saturday, March 15.
The event witnessed the presence of Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, and Dr. Mina Emad, deputy governor, along with a selection of governorate leaders and employees, and the participation of thousands of citizens.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut University pays great attention to its role in serving the community and strengthening social ties between citizens, praising the youth initiatives that reflect the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among the community. He also pointed out that the University's participation in such events comes within the framework of its vision to support community activities that promote human values and contribute to spreading the spirit of intimacy and love among various groups of society.
Dr. El-Minshawy added that the university is keen on continuous interaction with the local community and participation in events that enhance the spirit of initiative and volunteerism, praising the efforts of the youth of the Arbaeen region in organizing a collective breakfast for the second year in a row with self-efforts and donations, as the table stretched along 2 kilometers and accommodated more than 3 thousand individuals.
For his side, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla stressed that Assiut University's participation in this event reflects its commitment to social responsibility and strengthening human ties among the people of the governorate, pointing out that this collective breakfast reflects the awareness of young people of the importance of solidarity and Social Solidarity, which are the values that the University seeks to consolidate inside and outside the campus.
The collective iftar in the AL-Arbaeen area is a model of community initiatives that embody the cohesion between citizens, where people participated in preparing iftar at their homes, and local restaurants provided ready meals, which contributed to the success of the event and gave a Ramadan atmosphere full of love and brotherhood.
