Dr. El-Minshawy: Assiut University is committed to support and empower students with disabilities in accordance with international academic standards
Under the supervision and presence of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the University invites all interested parties to attend the forum "students with disabilities in the light of the international academic classification of universities", which will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18, at 8:30 pm, in Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Hall (Hall VIII), the administrative building of the university, under the slogan "Assiut University is friendly to students with disabilities".
The forum is organized by the international academic classification office in cooperation with the Center for the care of students with disabilities, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and research, Dr. Omar Mamdouh Shaaban, director of the international academic classification office and coordinator of the forum, Dr. Umniah Mohammed Ibrahim, director of the Center for the care of students with disabilities and Office of international academic classification.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university pays special attention to integrating and empowering students with disabilities, in order to ensure the provision of a comprehensive educational environment in line with international academic standards, pointing out that the organization of the forum "students with disabilities in the light of the international academic classification of universities" comes within the framework of the University's ongoing efforts to enhance academic and community support for this category, through the provision of Educational, Psychological and rehabilitation services necessary to ensure their effective participation in university and community life.
The forum program includes a dialogue session highlighting the University's efforts to support and empower students with disabilities academically and socially, in addition to reviewing the psychological, educational and rehabilitation services provided in accordance with International Classification Standards. The forum also includes artistic presentations by the team of the Center for the care of students with disabilities, in the framework of supporting student talents and enhancing community participation.
