The president of Assiut University participates in the inauguration of the first phase of the "Together" initiative ... We are cultivating a green future" with Assiut cement company

Prof. El-Minshawy: the initiative comes within the framework of intensive national efforts to preserve the environment and face the problems of climate change 

By Prof . Ahmed Al-manshawi, president of Assiut University, participated today, Tuesday 3 December, in the launch of the "Together" initiative ... We are planting a green future", which was launched by Cemex Egypt-Assiut cement - to plant 700 tree of the" Kaya " type in the first stage; on Assiut – new Valley Road (Assiut International Airport Road), within the scope of the factory fence.

The launch of the initiative was attended by Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, engineer Carlos palero, vice president of Assiut cement company for operations, Ms. Marwa Youssef, head of the procurement sector, Mr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab, head of the security sector, Mr. Abdel Nasser Bakr, director of industrial relations, and Mr. Ibrahim Saad, director of Public Relations.  

Prof. El-Minshawy stressed the importance of the initiative aimed at confronting climate change and global warming through tree planting, which has a fruitful and effective return to contribute to the expansion of green spaces, which comes within the framework of intensive national efforts under the supervision of His Excellency the president of the Republic to achieve sustainable development goals through environmental conservation, taking into consideration the rights of future generations, and implementing the national strategy for climate change.

 Prof. El-Minshawy pointed to the keenness of Assiut University to participate in the activities of the initiative to encourage community members to pay attention to the culture of afforestation because of its environmental and aesthetic benefits to the community, praising the initiative aimed at planting (700 ) tree of the "Kaya" type in the first stage, and(500) tree in the second stage. 

Prof. El-Minshawy added that Assiut University is keen to build bridges of cooperation with major industrial institutions and companies as a major partner in development, and to benefit from the University's scientific and human expertise; in supporting and enhancing various fields of work, whether at the service or development level, stressing the importance of a close partnership between the University and community service institutions, productivity, which in turn is reflected in serving the state strategy; in order to achieve the goals and vision of Egypt 2030.
