Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, received a report on the most prominent contributions of Assiut University and its active participation in the work of the Presidential Initiative "A New Beginning for Human Building", which started in September (2024), continued over (100) days, through the implementation and organization of many activities and events, awareness programs and seminars and comprehensive convoys, and participated by all sectors of the University; in cooperation with government agencies, civil society, and the private sector; towards building a human being, socially, healthily, economically, and politically.

Prof. El-Minshawy praised the successive and distinguished activities and events achieved by Assiut University to implement the goals of the Presidential Initiative (the beginning), stressing Assiut University's keenness to participate in various presidential initiatives launched by the Egyptian state under the supervision of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Republic, which puts the Egyptian person at the forefront of its priorities to improve the quality of life of citizens, foremost of which is the initiative "a new beginning to build a human being".

   The report explained that the community service and environmental development sector, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Alim, vice president of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, organized (62) events inside the university, (21) events outside the University, and(15) workshops and development exhibitions, and the number of direct beneficiaries of these events reached (11563).

  The report pointed out that Assiut University implemented comprehensive development convoys, in coordination with Assiut Governorate, and in cooperation with institutions and development organizations, to provide health and community services to thousands of parents, to benefit from the various services it provided in various specialties, which include various medical specialties, nursing, dentistry, veterinary, agricultural extension, psychological counseling, raising environmental awareness and developing children's skills, as well as providing educational seminars and services for people with disabilities through training and technical workshops, developing technological skills, as well as developmental exhibitions, and to present a series of awareness seminars with the participation of university students, aimed at discussing the most important social phenomena in cooperation with various educational institutions and the external community.

The report pointed to the continuation of the series of convoys launched by the university to the neediest centers and hamlets; to relieve the suffering on the shoulders of citizens, including; a convoy in the field of "dentistry", to the family medicine unit "betas" at Sahel slim center, the number of beneficiaries reached (115) cases; and the village of "Arab Mutair" - Al-Fath Center, the number of beneficiaries reached(200) cases, the convoy included; providing therapeutic services, awareness in the field of Dentistry, in addition to the University Dental Hospital; which was organized by the Faculty of Dentistry, in addition to a number of comprehensive veterinary convoys to the village of "Riva" provided services for (933) cases, and to the village of "accelerator" organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, as well as a comprehensive veterinary convoy to the village of "baheej", in cooperation with the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Assiut; and an awareness convoy entitled "We are all with you... A new opportunity for a new beginning" for the Social Defense Foundation for child care at the Al-Fath Center in Assiut; a convoy to support women's mental health in (3) from the villages of Assiut governorate, including Bani Hussein village, Awlad Raiq village, Masra village and targeted (200)women and girls in the three villages, and organized an awareness, medical and social convoy in conjunction with decent life and Misr Al-Khair Foundation in Sanbu village and targeted (250) villagers.

The report explained that Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy participated in the launching ceremony of the Presidential Initiative "A New Beginning to Build a Human Being" in front of the General Court of Assiut Governorate, in the presence of Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, and with the participation of several executive and popular leaders; to implement several programs, activities, and various services, which include all age groups, aimed at developing human capital and consolidating the Egyptian identity.
 
The report explained the series of technical workshops launched by the University; entitled: "A Qualitative Start for Community Benefit" by several schools for different age groups; in cooperation with the Directorate of Education and educational institutions, and the launch of many awareness activities for kindergarten children, most notably; the organization of the Faculty of Education nursery for early childhood in cooperation with the kindergarten integrated care, and the activities of the children's sports festival, targeted children from 3-10 years; to provide awareness messages in the educational, health, sports and cultural fields.

The report dealt with the participation of the Faculty of specific education - art education department - students with hearing disabilities; a hand weaving workshop at the "saqr" camp to face crises and disasters in the International Park; in Beni Ghalib, art workshops; sign language workshops, workshops to discover musical talents for students with disabilities; at the Arab unity school in Assiut, the Faculty of Fine Arts organized, in cooperation with the Department of gifted and intelligent learning at the Directorate of Education in Assiut; training workshops; to develop the abilities and skills of.

The report dealt with the report, University hosted the Islamic Da'wa week, entitled: "The Islamic Faith: Its Concept, and its Characteristics", which was organized by the Higher Committee for Da'wa, Islamic Research Complex, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and the virtue of the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and included a set of awareness meetings and lectures, aimed at preparing an intellectual map that addresses human construction in all its aspects; intellectual, ideological, and social, and the consolidation of the system of values, ethics, and ideals in society, with the participation of a group of Al-Azhar scholars.

The report confirmed the University's Organization of many sports and technical activities, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, vice-president of the University for education and student affairs, most notably; launching the activities of the "100 days of sports" initiative, in cooperation with the Egyptian Sports Federation of universities, organizing a mass student march with the participation of university students from various colleges, offering a number of various recreational Games, organizing the "sports meeting for physical fitness Be Fit" in cooperation with the Ministry of youth and sports; with the aim of spreading the culture of physical fitness, improving public health among students, in light of the trends of the Egyptian state; organizing many initiatives, aimed at raising physical fitness rates through the practice of sports, and the organization of the "creative human" festival to discover artistic talents, the Department of mobile and public service, at the General Administration of student welfare, organized the activities of the scouting session (43) and guidance (29) for the university and college tours. 

The report pointed out that Assiut University organized many events to promote the health aspect, where the university organized: a workshop on" methods of family planning after childbirth and abortion "at the University Women's Health Hospital; and launched the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University women's health hospital; a workshop on early detection of breast cancer under the slogan" You are the heroine of your story.. Discover, and rest assured"; coinciding with the initiative of the president of the Republic to support women's health "Pink October", and the organization of a first aid course with the participation of university faculties under the slogan: ( your health is honest, keep it).

The report pointed to the University's success in launching a series of various awareness and educational seminars for university students in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for tourism promotion, in addition to organizing a marketing exhibition for family and student supplies, in cooperation with the authority for the development of medium, small and micro enterprises in Assiut.

 The report also referred to the organization of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education at the University; the activities and events of the "ihna main" initiative in cooperation with the "Yarrow" Foundation for Egyptian civilization and the "Misr Al-Khair Foundation", which aimed to enhance children's awareness of the history and ancient civilization of Egypt, and guide them towards developing the spirit of belonging, and enhance national pride through innovative methods, including workshops on writing, sculpture, taxidermy, and drawing, with the participation of about (500) children from Assiut kindergartens, and also organized an introductory day for children, under the title:" plant your tree, which was organized by the College Nursery, and carried the slogan: (We only have one land), during which the nursery children participated, giving the children the opportunity to experience agriculture by planting seedlings in the nursery garden.

The report also reviewed the participation of the General Department of Information Systems and Digital Transformation at the University; a celebration on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day and the General Department of Public Relations and media in cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority in Assiut.

The report pointed to the University's contribution to the awareness-raising aspect, where the University held an awareness-raising seminar entitled: "The dangers of illegal immigration", in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, migration and Egyptians abroad, during which Ambassador Nabil Habshi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, migration and Egyptians abroad, and ambassador Naila Gabr, chairman of the National Coordinating Committee to combat and prevent illegal immigration and human trafficking, attended, which aimed at this contributes to supporting their skills, raising their capabilities, and linking them to the labor market.

The report confirmed the University's contributions to the Presidential Initiative "Bidaya", where a student delegation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, participated in a field visit to the Mohammed Naguib Military Base in Hammam City, Matrouh governorate, and a student delegation participated in a lecture entitled "awareness of cybercrimes and cyber-attacks", at the Judicial Studies Center, at the Assiut courts complex, as part of the awareness development lectures organized by the Ministry of Justice, a student delegation also participated in awareness development lectures at the North Assiut Court of First Instance, and student unions at Assiut University participated in my students from various faculties of the University, at the lecture "comprehensive legal awareness", which was organized by the Ministry of justice.

The Adult Education Unit at the Faculty of Social Service, in cooperation with the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education/ Assiut Branch, organized an awareness seminar on "the National Project for Literacy, Adult Education, and Achieving Egypt's Vision 2030", and a recruitment day was launched under the title "your way after graduation" for undergraduate students, excellence; to introduce the available job opportunities, the basics of work, and the laws regulating the practice of nursing, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine held a religious seminar for college students, entitled "correcting misconceptions"; the Faculty of Education organized seminars and educational events in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for tourism promotion in Assiut and the fund for combating and treating addiction and abuse at the Council of ministers.

The Faculty of Science organized an educational seminar entitled "Human Capital and the Qualification of Students and Graduates for the Labor Market", and the Faculty of Education organized the Proceedings of the educational seminar entitled "Egypt - the Architecture of the Place and the Construction of Man", which aimed to raise awareness of the dimensions of the civilizational construction of the modern Egyptian man in light of contemporary challenges, and awareness of the roles of educational institutions; to support the building of the Egyptian man civilizational, preparing and educating generations on the values of civilization, while adhering to the constants of the national identity of society.
