• President of Assiut University: Comprehensive Emergency Plans and Full Medical Readiness During Eid al-Fitr Holiday.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, confirmed that university hospitals are working at full capacity during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, with the highest level of readiness in all medical departments and units to ensure the best health care for patients and visitors to the hospitals.
Dr. El-Minshawy explained that emergency and reception teams have been strengthened, and medical staff have been provided in intensive care units to ensure full readiness 24 hours a day. An organized work plan has also been developed to ensure the presence of resident doctors, assistant lecturers, and supervising professors, to ensure that medical services continue to be provided efficiently and quickly.
The university president pointed out that he continuously monitors the progress of work inside university hospitals, while working to overcome any obstacles that may face the medical teams, emphasizing adherence to occupational health and safety standards, to ensure a safe medical environment for patients.
For his part, Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, confirmed that all reception departments (trauma, general reception, obstetric emergencies, children, burns) as well as intensive care units are ready to receive emergency cases, with the provision of the necessary medicines and medical supplies.
Dr. Alaa Attia added that a set of coordination measures have been taken to ensure the smooth running of the work, as shift schedules have been prepared for the medical teams within the various departments, stressing the readiness of medical teams to receive any emergency case immediately.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine also highlighted that laboratories, the blood bank, and radiology departments—including general and CT imaging—will operate at full capacity around the clock to ensure the swift provision of medical services and immediate handling of critical cases.
Assiut University confirmed that its university hospital sector continues to operate efficiently during the holiday to ensure outstanding healthcare services for all patients, aligning with its mission to serve the community and enhance the healthcare system.
