- President of Assiut University: the establishment of a New Public Reception is a great achievement for the advancement of the health system at Assiut University Hospitals

 Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, inaugurated today, Thursday October 31, the "New Public Reception" unit at the main University Hospital, at a total cost of about (39 million pounds), as part of the comprehensive development and modernization processes witnessed by Assiut University Hospitals, and within the framework of the strategic plan, to support and develop university hospitals, contributing to the advancement of the health system and upgrading the level of medical services provided to citizens.

  The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Alaa Attiyah, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and chairman of the board of University Hospitals, Dr. Amani Omar, vice dean of the Faculty of Medicine for graduate studies and research, and Dr. Khalid Abdul Aziz, director of the University Hospital President،
Dr. Mohammed Helmy Al-Hefnawi, engineering advisor to the president of Assiut University and the Architectural Designer of the project, Dr. Dina Ali, reception manager, Professor Shawkat Saber, secretary general of the university, deputy Alaa Suleiman, several faculty members, employees, and several Engineers of engineering affairs at Assiut University Hospitals.
 
 Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy pointed out that the work of establishing the" New Public Reception unit " at the main University Hospital, total cost amounted to about (39 million pounds), and it was equipped to comply with international and local codes, and infection control standards; achieve high medical quality, which is a new achievement of Assiut University in the hospital sector; to provide distinguished medical services to patients at the highest level of efficiency, according to the requirements, standards, international codes, and modern local hospitals.

Prof. El- Minshawy added: that the "New Public Reception Unit of the main " University Hospital, located at a distance of 2000 m, with a capacity of sixty (60) beds, and rooms for examination, and the patients capacity (32 beds), and (4) observation rooms with a capacity of (21) beds, and intensive care, with a capacity of (6) beds, and pulmonary intensive care with (6) beds capacity, and a surgical room, pharmacy, and to the side; departments of diagnostic, therapeutic, which include; X-rays, and labs, and equipped with up-to-date instruments،

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the medical sector at Assiut University has witnessed great development recently, both at the level of construction and therapeutic services, which is a confirmation of the university administration's keenness to raise the efficiency of medical facilities, upgrade them, develop therapeutic and medical services, and provide them with high efficiency that meets the aspirations of patients from different parts of the Republic.
