Prof. El-Minshawy: Studying for the two diplomas keeps pace with the latest developments in the fields of women and obstetrics with international curricula
The Women's Health Hospital, Assiut University, announced the acceptance of the first batch of study in two of the new diplomas; for the academic year 2024/2025 AD, namely: the diploma of "Assisted Fertilization", and the diploma of "Gynecology Endoscopes", which are reserved for doctors with a master's degree, or a fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology, or its equivalent, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and the supervision of Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Dr. Ahmed Nasr, Director of the Women's University Hospital.
Prof. El-Minshawy explained that the two diplomas have been approved by the Supreme Council of Universities, the Egyptian Supreme Medical Health Council, and the Medical Syndicate, locally and internationally recognized, pointing out that the study in the two diplomas is carried out during a full academic year, through international curricula; Keeping pace with the latest developments in the fields of obstetrics, in addition to learning about the best and latest technologies in international practices, and intensive practical training; by experts, professors from Assiut University, and several Egyptian and foreign universities.
The launch of the study comes with two diplomas; within the framework of Assiut University's keenness to expand new disciplines in all branches of education at the university, and add accurate inter-specializations; enhance its competitive quality; educationally and research at all levels, under the supervision of prof. Jamal Badr, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Amani Omar, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs.
The study includes the "Diploma of Assisted Fertilization"; covering the latest developments in this field, including diagnosis and treatment of infertility in men and women, advanced assisted IVF techniques, ICSI, PGT; fertility preservation, along with the latest research and studies in this field, as well as the ethical and legal aspects followed, as well as participation in IVF procedures, and follow-up of cases. The application for the diploma continues until October 27, under the supervision of Dr. Tariq Abdul Radhi, Professor of Assistant Fertilization and Microinjection, Faculty of Medicine.
About the diploma of "Gynecologic Endoscopics", the study includes three stages, the first of which are: the basic rules in laparoscopic surgery, the second; intermediate laparoscopic surgeries, and the third; advanced endoscopic surgeries, provided that doctors pass several practical and theoretical tests; after the end of each stage, and in the final stage, and the admission extends until October 20, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Faik, Professor of Laparoscopic Surgery, and the academic supervisor of the diploma, Dr. Mahmoud Zakhira, Director of the Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgery Unit, and the diploma coordinator.
