Dr. El-Minshawy inaugurates the new conference and discussion hall at the Faculty of education at Assiut University to enhance academic and research activities

On Wednesday, February 26, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, opened the new conference and discussion hall at the Faculty of education, in the presence of Dr. Hassan Hawail, dean of the Faculty of Education.

The opening ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Mohammed Jaber Qasem, vice dean for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Amani Al-Sharif, vice dean for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Jamal Hassan, vice dean for graduate studies and research, and a selection of faculty members and members of the administrative staff of the college. A video was also shown documenting the stages of creating the hall, as well as reviewing the achievements of the Faculty of education during the past period in various fields.

During the opening ceremony, the president of the University stressed that this hall comes within the University's efforts to provide a sophisticated educational environment that keeps pace with the latest academic standards, pointing out that it will be used to host scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops, which contributes to enhancing scientific research and knowledge exchange between researchers and students.

The hall features modern technical equipment, including advanced sound and lighting systems, high-resolution displays, in addition to an infrastructure equipped to host local and international events, with a capacity of about 120 people, and at a cost of more than one and a half million pounds. The foundation process also included the installation of floors, a podium, wall lining, and a suspended ceiling.

The attendees praised the possibilities available in the Hall, expressing their aspiration to use it in organizing academic events that contribute to strengthening the role of the university as a distinguished scientific center.
