Prof. El-Minshawy chairs the meeting of the committee for the application of the rules governing scholarships and discounts provided to Assiut University students

Prof. El-Minshawy: Assiut Al-Ahlia University seeks to include outstanding students in its student classes

  Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and in charge of conducting the work of Assiut Al-Ahlia University, chaired, on Sunday morning, February 16, 2025, the meeting of the committee concerned with the application of the rules and conditions of study grants provided to Assiut Al-Ahlia university students, in the presence of Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of Assiut Al-Ahlia University for Academic Affairs, and members of the committee.

   Prof. El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut Al-Ahlia University seeks to include outstanding students in its student classes, explaining that the scholarships include enrollment in any of the programs of the faculties of Assiut Al-Ahlia University, taking into account all the terms and conditions of admission in force at the University.

Prof. El-Minshawy stated that during the meeting, the numbers and cases of students who meet the conditions for benefiting from grants were discussed, according to the specified items from the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, which include grants and discounts in a number of categories, including awarding excellence to students admitted to the University during the first year of study, for students who are among the top 300 students for each division of the Egyptian high school, as well as for the student who has more than 92% of the scientific science division, as well as advanced excellence grants to students while studying at the University the following year, as well as sports excellence grants in the following year for excellence to those who have gold medals or silver or bronze in international, Arab or African competitions.  

  Prof . Ahmed El-Minshawy added that during the meeting of the committee, it was clarified the categories entitled to reduce tuition expenses, which include their rules; be from one of the Sons of martyrs of the Armed Forces, the police, the martyrs of the White Army, and medical staff, or have a brother or sister from the students at one of the colleges of Assiut Al-Ahlia university, or the student be from the Sons of faculty members or full-time employees of Assiut Al-Ahlia university, or employees, and faculty members of Assiut State University, who are on the job, or who lost a family during study, and the percentage is determined by the president of the University according to the marital status of each case.

It is worth mentioning that the committee includes Dr. Amani Omar, a representative of the medical sector, Dr. Shirin Abdel Ghaffar, a representative of the humanities sector, Mr. Mustafa Hassan, secretary general of Assiut National University, Mr. Khalid Abdul Latif, director of Financial Affairs, Dr. Jehan Darwish, director of Student Affairs, and Mr. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Hussein, director of legal affairs.
