Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, congratulated the volleyball team (female students) for winning the first place at the fourth sports festival for student families of Egyptian universities, where they proved that they are the best at the level of Egyptian universities, and this reflects the strength of training and sports preparation carried out by the University for its students.
The festival was organized by Kafr El-Sheikh University, under the slogan "youth of the Universities of the New Republic", under the supervision of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of youth and sports, Major General Alaa Abdel Muti, governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, and Dr. Abdul Razek Desouki, president of Kafr El-Sheikh University.
The team of Assiut University winning the first place consisted of (4) female students at the Faculty of physical education, namely: Ala Hassan Ahmed Omar, Nuran Ahmed Ismail Johar, Arwa Esmat, and Mervat Ahmed Ali.
The participation of the female students, as part of the Assiut University student delegation participating in the festival, came under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Madiha Darwish, general supervisor of student activities at the University, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Department of student welfare at the University, Mr. Ayman Shaaban, director of the student Families Department at the administration, Mr. Ihab Mohammed Murad (student supervision), and Ms. Fatima Shaaban (supervision of female students).
For his side, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the keenness of the university administration to participate its students in various activities at all local, regional and international levels, especially sports activities, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, president of the Republic, on the need to pay attention to the practice of university youth in sports, expressing his pride in the achievement of sponsored by students.
