Assiut University Faculty of Medicine organizes a comprehensive medical convoy to Baqour village in cooperation with "Hayat Karima"

Assiut University President praises the efforts of the medical convoy in supporting the community and achieving the goals of the presidential initiative.

As part of Assiut University's community role, the Faculty of Medicine organized a comprehensive medical convoy to Baqour village in Abutig, with the aim of providing free medical and therapeutic services to citizens in cooperation with Hayat Karima Foundation.

Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, emphasized the university’s continuous efforts in organizing comprehensive medical convoys and providing all its capabilities and medical cadres to serve the most needy citizens, within the framework of its contribution to improving the health and social level of society, in line with the objectives of the presidential initiative “Hayat Karima”

The convoy was organized under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr.Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board; Dr. Hoda Makhlouf, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and General Supervisor of Medical Convoys; and Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel-Megid, Supervisor of the Medical Convoys Center. The event was also attended by Dr. Mohamed Sami El-Qadi, Deputy General Coordinator of the “Hayah Karima” Foundation in Assiut, along with several volunteers from the foundation.

The convoy provided medical and therapeutic services to 299 patients from Baqour Village in various specialties, including internal medicine, chest , orthopedic surgery, dermatology and venereology, and pediatrics. Additionally, free medications and medical supplies were distributed, and nine critical cases were referred to Assiut University Hospitals for necessary treatment.

A team of specialized doctors participated in the convoy, including:
Dr. Yasmine Salah Abdel-Rahim (Dermatology and Venereology),Dr. Marwa Mamdouh Abdel-Tawab (Pediatrics), Dr. Sara Magdy Ahmed (Internal Medicine), Dr. Amira Emad El-Din (chest diseases) andDr. Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed (Orthopedic Surgery).
