The modern study of history is wide-ranging and includes the study of specific regions and the study of certain topical or theatrical elements of historical investigation which will help in analyzing change and investigating the perspectives that affect the course of events. Teaching students how to weigh these sources and convert the findings into persuasive analysis lies at the heart of the department's teaching. Graduates with a History major pursue careers in several sectors like law, politics, writing, and journalism.
