Assiut University students participate in the training program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on: "peace and security topics"

Prof. El-Minshawy praises the participation of Assiut University students in the training program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to understand the priorities of Egyptian Foreign Policy and current international challenges

Under the supervision of Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, and prof. Ahmed El- Minshawy, president of Assiut University; students of the Faculty of Commerce participated in the activities of the training program for university students, organized by the Cairo International Center for conflict resolution, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, affiliated to the Ministry of foreign affairs, in cooperation with the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation, on: "peace and security topics".

The training program aims to empower Egyptian youth and prepare them to play effective roles in serving their country and society through a deep understanding of Egypt's foreign policy priorities and current international challenges, especially those related to conflicts, humanitarian crises, and terrorism.

Prof. El-Minshawy praised this valuable student participation, which in turn enhances the students ' political awareness and national responsibility, and directs them to engage effectively with state institutions to deal with the regional and exceptional crises surrounding Egypt, appreciating the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosting Egyptian university students to participate in these training activities, and its keenness to hold a mutual dialogue with them, and listen to their views on current developments in the region, and their perceptions on ways to deal with them.

The students ' participation came, under the supervision of: Dr. Ahmed Abdul - Mawla, vice - president of the University for education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Alaa Abdul - Hafiz, dean of the Faculty of Commerce, and participated in the training program from the Faculty of Commerce; Asma Abdullah Abdul-Hakim-from the graduates of the faculty, Mohammed Mamdouh Fattouh-the Fourth Division, Department of political science, and Asma Mohammed Abdul-Rahim-the third level, PPIS Public Policy Information Systems Program.
 
 For his part, Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafiz said that the activities of the training program included reviewing Egypt's efforts to achieve peace and stability, foremost of which is the role of political leadership in the file of reconstruction and comprehensive development, as well as contributing to the settlement of various conflicts, including its great efforts to cease fire in the Gaza Strip, adding that the training touched on discussing the priorities of Egyptian foreign policy, its adherence to the principle of strategic balance, rejecting international polarization, as well as reviewing the development role of the Ministry of foreign affairs in supporting the Egyptian economy and taking care of the interests of Egyptians abroad.
