Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, opened today, Wednesday, February 26, the Faculty of Agriculture Exhibition for its food products under the title "our food in our hands", on the occasion of the approaching of the holy month of Ramadan, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president of the University for community service and environmental development, and Dr. Adel Mohammed Mahmoud, dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.
The exhibition is witnessing a wide turnout of faculty members, employees and visitors, as the products on display vary between food products, baked goods, and Ramadan drinks, which gives a special character that reflects the spirit of the holy month.
This exhibition is part of a series of services provided by Assiut University to support the Assiut community and enhance its role in community service, which contributes to enhancing the culture of self-production and economic sustainability.
The president of Assiut University praised the variety of exhibits and food products in various departments of the Faculty of Agriculture and their high quality, praising the productive, research and scientific role played by the faculty at the level of the University's faculties, through its various production units and research laboratories aimed at continuous improvement of products according to scientific and research bases.
Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the university is always seeking to provide more services to the community and the University's students, based on its service and community role, by providing strategic products and goods, contributing to achieving food security, and easing the burdens on citizens. He also pointed out that the exhibition comes within the framework of the University's support for the efforts of the Egyptian state in the face of rising prices, and the provision of food goods At Reasonable Prices, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.
For his side, Dr. Adel Mohammed Mahmoud said that the exhibition is characterized by a variety of products and exhibits, which include: Dairy Products, Food Products Laboratory and Bakery, Gluten-free products, products of vegetable farms and the Greenhouse Complex, poultry and animal production agriculture, products of the oil extraction unit, medicinal and aromatic plants, ornamental plant nursery products and landscaping
The opening ceremony was attended by: Dr. Jalal Abdel Fattah, vice dean for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Adel Tamam, vice dean for education and student affairs, scientific supervisor of dairy, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saghir, vice dean for graduate studies and research, Dr. Khalid Abu Ezz, supervisor of the poultry Department, Dr. Sayed Shehata, supervisor of the ornamental nursery, Dr. Fatima Zahra Kamal, supervisor of the oils Unit, Dr. Islam Mahmoud, supervisor of the industries laboratory, Dr. Ashraf Jalal, supervisor of the supervisor of the greenhouse complex, Dr. Dalia Tantawi, supervisor of the vegetable farm, and Dr. Ahmed Abdullah, supervisor of the animal production farm, in addition to a number of faculty members, engineers in various production units, administrators, and workers.
