The Office of International Relations and Arab Universities Affairs at Assiut University announced that several faculty members at the University won two scholarships for the Erasmus KA171 program submitted by the Turkish University of Kastamonu, according to what was announced via the official website of the office on April 16, 2025, and based on the nominations received from the faculties of the university concerned.
The results were to the win of: D. Amani Hamed Abdul Hamid Obaid, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany and Microbiology, Faculty of Sciences (Basic candidate), and Dr. Mohammed Sharif Ahmed Mohammed, Assistant Teacher at the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Physical Education at the Faculty of physical education (basic candidate), and Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hosni Abu Zeid, teacher at the Department of curriculum and teaching physical education at the Faculty of physical education (reserve candidate), and Dr. Mohammad Gad al-Karim Obaid Ali, director of the Office of the dean of the Faculty of physical education (reserve candidate).
Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, expressed his sincere congratulations to the winners, praising the high scientific and competitive efficiency of the University's academic staff, stressing the University's keenness to support and encourage faculty members to participate in international exchange programs, because of its pivotal role in developing research and academic capabilities and enhancing the University's position on the map of higher education regionally and internationally.
The university president also thanked the Office of International Relations and Arab Universities Affairs, headed by Professor Dr. Jamal Jamal Badr, Coordinator General of the office, for his continuous efforts in activating international cooperation and providing distinguished academic and research opportunities to the University's students.
