Dr. El-Minshawy holds a meeting to discuss the implementation of integrated educational and service projects at Assiut University campus in New Assiut city
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, held on Tuesday, July 15, a meeting with the participation of a number of academic and administrative leaders concerned with the institutional development file, in order to discuss ways to accelerate the pace of implementation of a number of educational projects and service expansions at the new campus of the University in the new city of Assiut, to meet the growing needs of students at the local and regional levels.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Samee Eid, former president of the University and full-time professor at the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Shehata Al-Dabaa, engineering advisor to the president of the University, professor Shawkat saber, secretary general of the University, and engineer Mohammed Thabet, director of engineering affairs department.
During the meeting, Dr. El-Minshawy discussed the ongoing preparations for the opening of the College of early childhood education, as well as discussing the procedures for starting a number of important service projects, which include the establishment of a social club, student and administrative housing, which contributes to enhancing the stability and continuity of the educational process within the new campus, and reflects the University's vision of academic and developmental expansion in Upper Egypt.
The meeting also included reviewing the steps of implementing the proposed development projects during the next stage, as well as the measures to be taken to lay the foundation stone for these projects, in conjunction with the upcoming visit of Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, scheduled for the beginning of the academic year 2025/2026.
Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the university pays great attention to the continuous expansion and development of its educational and service infrastructure, within the framework of the strategic directions of the Egyptian state aimed at supporting educational institutions and modernizing their facilities and services. He also stressed the importance of the community role played by the University in serving the local community and providing support in various educational, medical and cultural fields.
The president of the university appreciated the support of the Ministry of higher education for development projects within universities, pointing out that Assiut University is proceeding at a confident pace according to an ambitious plan aimed at building an integrated educational and research system, capable of meeting the requirements of the Times and the labor market, and keeping pace with scientific and technological progress.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. El-Minshawy stressed the importance of full compliance with sustainability standards in the implementation of all projects, and the preservation of material and human resources, to ensure the establishment of a strong and secure infrastructure capable of serving present and future generations.
