Assiut University President witnesses the fishing of 300 kg of tilapia in the first production of the farms of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital

 Assiut University President praised the role of the College of Veterinary Medicine, which is not limited to providing educational and research services to its students, but extends to providing a distinguished role in community service and harnessing the scientific capabilities of the college in order to increase the fish and animal wealth of various kinds and support those in charge of it from Farmers and individuals in Assiut Governorate and Upper Egypt governorates. This came during the visit of the President of Assiut University to the new teaching veterinary hospital, during which he witnessed a fishing operation for tilapia in the hospital’s first production of fish farms.

A review by the University's Community Service and Environmental Development Department revealed that most water management measurements are directed towards agricultural lands and gardens on campus. The majority of water consumption is treated for reuse, thus conserving potable water.It shoud be noted that the university's production and research fish farms utilize a significant portion of the water used for irrigation and reuse, which is originally intended for drinking water.
