In addition to our Central Library of the University and Faculty, the Departmental Library possesses an excellent collection of about 6106 (Arabic books/ 1155 - Foreign books/ 4951) text books and 3383 journals and periodicals covering all branches of Geological Sciences on an area of 126 m 2. The library has a good number of Master and Ph. D. Theses (M.Sc.549 and Ph.D. 248). The library is conditioned and have 120 seats arranged in two halls.
