Assiut University activities included in 15 goals of the Times Higher Education (THE) British Impact Ranking

Assiut University (AU)and for the first time had a new achievement to be ranked 101-200 all over the globe in the “THE Impact” ranking goal number 7 concerned with affordable and clean energy.

Additionally, Assiut University had recently ranked 201-300 on world universities on the goals concerned with zero hunger, clean water and sanitation, industry innovation and infrastructure and sustainable cities and communities.

In 2021; Assiut University had been ranked in 15 out of 17 goals from the United Nation Sustained Development Goals (SDGs) comparing with only 6 goals in 2020 version of this ranking.

Furthermore, our university had ranked the second between Egyptian Universities in the goals concerned with industry innovation and infrastructure and the third in two other goals: gender equality, clean and affordable energy.

More importantly: and according to the official report came out recently from the British “THE impact website”; Assiut University ranked the 6th among 72 Egyptian Universities and the 27th over the Arabic region and in the category between 401-600 of the best universities that have its impact on the community.

What is important to annotated that THE impact ranking 2021 is the third version of this ranking that developed and produced by the distinguished British Times Magazine. This year version included 1115 universities from 94 countries and considered the only available ranking method to evaluate the impact of a certain university on the surrounding community and in serving the United Nation SDG goals.
