Assiut University hosts the memorial session for the performance of the law department for 300 graduates of Assiut and the New Valley

- Dr. El-Minshawy: Assiut University is proud to host the first session for the performance of the law department outside the Cairo syndicate in support of the Sons of Upper Egypt

  Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, confirmed that the University's hosting of the first commemorative session for the performance of the law department in Assiut and the New Valley governorates represents an unprecedented step that embodies the University's community role in supporting graduates of Upper Egypt and facilitating the steps of their involvement in the professional labor market. He explained that the university is keen to extend bridges of cooperation with all professional unions, especially the Bar Association, to provide all means of support to our graduates and qualify them for working life.

This came within the framework of Assiut University hosting, on Sunday, June 1, the first commemorative session for the performance of the law department for new lawyers, for the first time outside the headquarters of the general Bar Association in Cairo, with the participation of about 300 lawyers and new graduates from the governorates of Assiut and the New Valley. 

The session was attended by Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, dean of the Faculty of law and legal adviser to the president of the University, Mr. Abdul Halim Allam, Captain General of the lawyer of Egypt and president of the Arab Lawyers Union, along with Mr. Mohammed Kamal Al-Jaher, captain of the North Assiut lawyer, Mr. Ahmed Al-Badrawy, captain of the South Assiut lawyer, several members of the general Bar Council, and prominent legal and trade union figures.

   Dr. Doib Hussein Saber stressed that the bar association represents the protective shield of the legal profession and a major platform for professional support and rehabilitation. He explained that the college is not limited to graduating law students, but seeks to prepare Justice makers with critical thinking, an attentive conscience, and the ability to defend the right. 

The dean of the College also appreciated the long partnership between the college and the syndicate in supporting the process of preparing committed generations of qualiflied lawyers to carry the banner of justice with confidence and steadfastness.

He concluded his speech by addressing a message to the new lawyers, saying: "You are the natural extension of the message of justice, be voices of truth, shields of justice, and a light that illuminates the path of law."

For his part, Mr. Abdul Halim Allam expressed his happiness at being among the young lawyers at Assiut University, stressing that the performance of the law department represents a historic moment and an unforgettable station in the life of every lawyer, after which he officially begins his professional career and enjoys all the rights guaranteed to him by the law of law, and at the same time be committed to duties and responsibilities towards the profession and society.

He added that the Egyptian Bar Association is one of the oldest professional associations in the Arab world, and has an honorable history, stressing his confidence that the new lawyers will be a strong addition to the profession and the career of the Union.

The session witnessed a distinctive festive atmosphere, where the new lawyers took the legal oath in the presence of representatives of the syndicate and university leaders, amid wide praise from the audience for the good organization and the honorable level of the event, which reflects the status of Assiut University as an academic and legal platform that embraces competencies and contributes to building a society of justice and the rule of law, in addition to handing over the Union Carnet.

At the end of the event, the Bar Association presented the honorary shield to the Faculty of law in celebration of the golden jubilee of its establishment, in recognition of its prominent role in supporting legal and professional education.

After the end of the memorial session, Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, dean of the Faculty of Law at Assiut University, accompanied Mr. Abdul Halim Allam, the bar captain, and members of the Bar Council, on an inspection tour inside the college, during which they were received by Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi, vice dean of the college for education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Moammar rate, vice dean of the college for community service and Environmental Development Affairs, along with several faculty members, employees and students.

The tour included a visit to the college library, the Hall of Professor Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Abdul Kader for discussions, the college council hall, and a number of administrative offices, where the delegation was briefed on the available capabilities and academic and service equipment.

At the end of the tour, Mr. Abdul Halim Allam and the members of the syndicate Council expressed their great admiration for the significant development witnessed by the Faculty of law in infrastructure and modernization of academic programs, praising the efforts of the University in providing an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with the requirements of the legal labor market.

At the end of the visit, the College presented the honorary shield to the bar captain in recognition of his continuous support for the legal profession.
