Assiut University President Holds a Meeting to Follow up Implementation of the 2020 University Hospital for Oncology Establishment Project

Dr. Ahmed El Minshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, emphasized the university administration’s keenness to complete the ongoing project of establishing the new 2020 University Hospital for Oncology, which is scheduled to be one of the largest projects offered by the university to serve about 40 million citizens of our people and relatives in various governorates of Upper Egypt. 
This comes through his presidency of an extended meeting to follow up the implementation works of the 2020 University Hospital establishment project, attended by representatives of the company executing the project, Dr. Mohamed Helmy El Hefnawy, engineering advisor of the University President, Dr. Abdel Montaleb Mohamed Ali, director of the engineering consultancy center in the university, and Professor Taher Hassan, head of the central administration of the university president’s office.
Dr. Ahmed El Minshawy states that during the meeting, the progress of work has been followed up and the importance of its implementation has been emphasized as per the agreed-upon timetable in accordance with the engineering conditions and standards specified therefor.
He clarifies that the project is scheduled to be implemented in 3 gradual phases and includes a major hospital that includes several specialized medical centers to treat different age groups with tumors, starting with outpatient clinics, children's accommodation, one-day treatment rooms to receive chemotherapy, operating rooms according to the latest medical systems, and specialized intensive care units for children. The second medical center is dedicated to treating adults, women and men, whereas the third center is working to provide treatment services for patients.
