The forum of leaders of student unions of Universities of the New Republic of Egypt 2030, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research; and Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, organized a lecture entitled: "From the stands to the platforms: how students can lead change", for Engineer Mohamed Atef El-Naqib, former president of the Federation of students of Egyptian schools, within the activities of the camp, which extended its activities from 10, until 12 from February, with the participation of leaders of student unions from various universities, Egyptian institutes, student delegations from (28) public, National, and private universities.
During the lecture, engineer Mohamed Atef Al-Naqib addressed the importance of motivating students to interact effectively and positively with the community, and enhancing their confidence that their voices and stories are important and deserve to be heard, as he explained: the student union is a mirror that reflects the hopes and aspirations of students, stressing that the university is a place where skills are refined, and leadership personalities are built, pointing to the importance of motivating students to participate in making the future, and to be part of the development that makes a difference in society, because the future starts from classrooms, until the moments of decision-making.
The lecture also dealt with the definition of leadership, responsibility, and making important decisions for the benefit of all, and clarifying the role of student leadership in linking ambitions with the University's potential, as well as clarifying how to move from stands to platforms, reviewing the nature of platforms, speaking, and influencing.
The door of dialogue was opened with the students, answering their questions on various topics about leadership skills; to face challenges and community issues.
