As part of Assiut University's keenness to support and empower its children of determination, and under the patronage of Dr.El-Minshawy, the president of the University, the university continues to provide inspiring models that have succeeded in turning challenges into achievements. Student Esraa Muhammad Ali, a graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of food science and technology, class of 2023, is one of the most prominent of these honorable models.
Esra's educational and sports career came with the direct support of the Center for students with disabilities at the University, which played an active role in discovering and sponsoring the Champions of the challenge and encouraging them to participate effectively in university life and various activities, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, and the supervision of Dr. Umniah Mohammed Ibrahim, director of the center.
Esraa received an excellent grade at The Bachelor's level, and then joined the pre-master's level to achieve the same recognition, continuing her academic excellence with determination.
In her professional life, she has been able to book a place for herself in the field of banking, where she is currently working in customer service at ALEXBANK within the 5% quota allocated for hiring people with disabilities, to prove her competence and ability to face challenges and achieve success.
On the sports level, Esraa excelled in athletics, winning a bronze medal at the 50th martyr Rifai tournament in 2022, then won a gold and a silver medal at the Paralympic meet in Alexandria governorate, before crowning her achievements in 2023 with two gold medals at the same championship.
In the field of student activities, she was strongly present, as she participated in the first tour at the level of Egyptian universities and won first place with her team, and also starred artistically in the choir of the Center for the care of students with disabilities, which won third place in the Golden talent competition organized by the Ministry of culture, and also participated in the first theatrical work for people with disabilities at the level of Egyptian universities.
She represented the University in a number of major events, including the second summit meeting of goodwill ambassadors in Fayoum governorate, in addition to her continuous participation in the activities and events of the Center for supporting students with disabilities.
The story of Israa Muhammad Ali is one of the stories of determination and inspiration that Assiut University is proud of, and confirms through it that the true Will is able to open the doors of excellence, and that the heroes of the challenge are the pulse of the University and its renewed spirit.
