Assiut University President congratulates the medical and administrative teams for their efforts in achieving this distinguished achievement.
Dr. El-Minshawy: Assiut University Hospitals continue to excel in providing comprehensive health care to patients from all over the country.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, has announced that a number of university hospitals have successfully renewed their certificates of conformity to international quality standards (ISO 9001:2015), as part of the university's keenness to enhance the level of medical services provided to patients.
The hospitals that have renewed their certification include the Women’s Health Hospital, the Neurology, Psychiatry, and Neurosurgery Hospital, the Children’s Hospital, the Heart Hospital, the Al-Rajhi Liver Hospital, the Urology and Nephrology Hospital, and the Private Treatment Unit at the Main University Hospital.
Additionally, the Infection Control Administration of Assiut University Hospitals has also been awarded the ISO 9001 certification, reaffirming the university’s dedication to implementing the highest standards of quality and safety in its medical facilities.
This achievement is a new addition that reflects confidence in the level of medical services provided by Assiut University Hospitals and emphasizes its ongoing commitment to developing its services in accordance with the latest international medical practices. This comes under the supervision of Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, as part of the university's efforts to enhance the quality of health care provided to patients.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy congratulated all the medical and administrative teams at Assiut University Hospitals, praising their efforts that contributed to achieving this outstanding achievement. He expressed his pride in this success, which reflects the commitment of all institutions within the medical city to provide integrated and distinguished health care, stressing the keenness of university hospitals to apply the latest international quality standards to ensure the provision of highly efficient medical services to beneficiaries and patients from different parts of the country.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawy emphasized that the university is keen to support all its facilities and educational and medical sectors to ensure the successful achievement of its goals, stressing the importance of establishing a culture of excellence in performance, sustainability of quality and accreditation, in line with the efforts of the Egyptian state to develop and modernize the university hospital system in accordance with the latest international standards, in the context of seeking leadership in the health field and upgrading the level of medical services provided to citizens.
For his part, Dr. Alaa Attia stressed that the renewal of ISO 9001:2015 certificates of conformity is based on reports prepared by an internationally trained and qualified team of auditors, after a series of evaluation visits to medical facilities, to ensure full compliance with quality standards. He explained that this achievement reflects the continuous follow-up of the latest developments in the medical field and the keenness to improve the level of health services provided to patients with higher efficiency, praising the efforts of the quality teams and their outstanding performance and dedication to work.
As part of this achievement, Assiut University Hospitals honored several hospital directors and quality officials whose institutions successfully renewed their certification in recognition of their efforts in achieving this success.
The honoring came within the activities of the general qualification program for new doctors (58th Cohort), organized by the Central Unit for Healthcare Quality, under the supervision of Dr. Tarek El-Meligy, Director of the Unit; Dr. Mohamed Samih Hamida, Program Coordinator; and Dr. Azhar Ahmed Younis, Critical Care Nursing Fellow and Member of the Central Quality Team.
Additionally, the event included the recognition of key figures from the Clinical Pathology Department, the Pathology Department, and the Infection Control Administration at Assiut University Hospitals, along with the Central Quality Unit, in appreciation of their role in upholding quality standards and excellence in medical performance. Their efforts contribute significantly to delivering more advanced and efficient healthcare services.
