 The president of Assiut University inspects the summer training camp at the ITI branch coinciding with the end of the training year 2024/2025

  On Sunday, July 20, Dr. Ahmed El– Minshawy, president of Assiut University, conducted an extended inspection visit to the Institute of Information Technology-Assiut branch, within the framework of joint cooperation between the University and the institute, aimed at supporting and developing the skills of students and graduates from various academic disciplines, and technically qualifying them to compete in the local and international labor market.

Dr. El-Minshawy was received by engineer Ayman Ayad, director of the ITI branch in Assiut, and engineer Hossam al-Naqib, government relations advisor at the Ministry of communications and Information Technology, who accompanied him during his tour inside the Institute's headquarters.

  During the visit, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy followed the activities of the summer training camp, held in conjunction with the end of the training year 2024/2025, and was briefed on the specialized training programs and capacity-building activities implemented by the Institute, which aim to enable young people to acquire the required digital skills, in order to enhance their readiness for the requirements of the modern labor market.

The visit was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, dean of the College of computers and Information, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hafeez, dean of the College of Commerce, Dr. Khalid Salah, dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Adawi, advisor to the president of the University for alumni affairs, entrepreneurship and innovation, Dr. Rehab Al-Dakhli, media advisor to the president of the University, and Dr. Mustafa Qaid, coordinator of the BIS program at the College of Commerce.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. El-Minshawy thanked the management of the branch of the Information Technology Institute in Assiut, for their outstanding efforts, and their continuous follow-up to the implementation of training programs efficiently and competently, praising the vital role of the deans and professors participating in the Institute's activities, their full support for training programs, supporting students and trainees, and enabling young people to acquire modern digital skills.

Dr. El-Minshawy also praised the continuous support of Dr. Heba Saleh, president of the Information Technology Institute, and her fruitful cooperation with Assiut University, which contributed to the development of the level of programs provided, and enhancing training and technical qualification opportunities for Upper Egypt's youth.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed Assiut University's keenness to enhance its development role and support all initiatives and partnerships that open new horizons for young people and give them the necessary tools to build their future with confidence and efficiency. This is in support of the state's efforts to develop the capabilities of young people in the fields of modern technology and artificial intelligence to help them compete strongly in the labor market.

During his meeting with students and trainees inside the laboratories and lecture halls, the president of the University expressed his pride in being among this promising elite of future youth, directing them to the need to continue their diligence and invest their efforts in developing their skills and abilities professionally, so as to provide them with wider opportunities to join the labor market.

During his follow-up to the summer training events this year, Dr. El-Minshawy praised the level of seriousness and excellence in qualifying students, and praised the detailed presentation of the results and performance indicators during the training year 2024/2025, which showed the amount of efforts exerted and the remarkable progress achieved by the branch.

In a related context, Dr. El-Minshawy expressed his great admiration for the inspiring models of trainees, who were able to enter the self-employment market and achieve tangible successes, whether as freelancers or through job opportunities in technology companies, which confirms the effectiveness of training programs and their ability to actually empower young people.

During the visit, Dr. El-Minshawy inspected the creative artworks that adorn the walls of the Institute, which constitute an aesthetic manifestation of the creativity of the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, praising this fruitful integration, which reflects the extent of benefiting from the creative artistic outputs of the University's students, and employing them in creating a distinctive educational environment that supports the Institute's goals in promoting innovation, building the capabilities of young people and developing their future ideas.

The visit included a video presentation about the summer training activities and the statistics of the training camp 2023/2024 for trainees from Assiut universities, Assiut National University, Egyptian university for electronic education, Badr University, New Assiut Technological University, Sphinx University, Egyptian-German Technological College in Assiut, in addition to the technological Secondary School in Assiut, and various university faculties.

For his side, engineer Ayad gave a presentation on the most important results of the summer training, a summary of the training work and training courses provided by the institute to students and graduates of the University during the training year 2023/2024, which reflected great support and inspiring encouragement for trainees to freelance, the most important fields and skills required, and the most famous freelance platforms on which trainees achieved great success.

Ayman Ayyad also praised the partnership with Assiut University, and its constant keenness to support, especially the Faculty of computers and information and the important and common role of the free Employment Forum, stressing that this cooperation contributed to the success of the institute to achieve its goals, and the development of services provided to students and graduates.

At the end of the visit, the Shield of the Information Technology Institute in Assiut and The Shield of the 45th batch of the institute were presented to Dr. El-Minshawy, the president of the University, in addition to honoring the deputies and deans of colleges participating in the visit.
