The most prominent statements of Dr. El-Minshawy at the "forum of students with disabilities in the light of the international academic classification of universities" organized by Assiut University on Tuesday, March 18, 2025

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, stressed the importance of providing an inclusive educational environment for students with disabilities in accordance with international academic standards, allowing them to achieve their academic and professional ambitions. This came during his speech at the" forum of students with disabilities in the light of the international academic classification of universities", organized by the University on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in the presence of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, and executive and academic leaders.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy explained that the forum is an important platform to discuss ways to improve the services provided to people of determination and review the efforts exerted to develop them, stressing that Assiut University pays special attention to this category of students, and constantly seeks to develop its infrastructure to make it more convenient for them, which contributes to facilitating their educational and life path.

 

In this context, the university announced the exemption of students with disabilities from tuition fees and university city fees, in the framework of providing material support to them. It is also considering allocating two scholarships to outstanding graduate students with disabilities, with the aim of enhancing their academic and professional opportunities.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy praised the prominent role played by the Center for the care of students with disabilities at the University, pointing out that it has contributed significantly to achieving advanced positions for students with disabilities in university competitions. He also stressed that Assiut University was one of the first Egyptian universities to establish this center, which reflects its continued commitment to empowering and supporting its students of determination.
