Assiut University participates in an introductory seminar on the "English Language Teachers" program in cooperation with the Fulbright Commission via the Zoom application

Assiut University participated, on Thursday, July 17, in a virtual introductory seminar on the "English Teaching Assistant Program" program, in cooperation with the Fulbright Commission, through the Zoom application, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and Dr. Maggie Nassif, executive director of the Fulbright Commission Egypt, under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and research, and in the presence of Dr. Rehab El-Dakhly, media advisor to the president of the University.

The seminar was attended by a number of faculty assistants and English teachers at the faculties of Arts and education, as part of the University's interest in expanding academic exchange opportunities and professional development for faculty members.

In this context, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stated that Assiut University is keen to strengthen its international partnerships and openness to leading educational programs that support the capabilities of faculty members, especially in the fields of language, education and vocational training. He pointed out that cooperation with the Fulbright Commission is one of the successful models that keep pace with the University's vision in academic development and interaction with international educational institutions.

For his side, Dr. Jamal Badr explained that the seminar comes within the framework of the University's strategic efforts to enhance the professional development of the academic and auxiliary staff, and expand their horizons to participate in specialized international programs, which contributes to improving the quality of education and developing University performance in accordance with international standards. He also appreciated the fruitful and constructive cooperation with the Fulbright Commission, because of its active role in supporting institutional and human capabilities within the University.

Representatives of the Fulbright Commission made a presentation on the application mechanisms of the program, its requirements and admission requirements, as well as reviewing the stages of application and selection criteria, and the multiple benefits offered by the program, which include intensive professional training, cultural exchange, and the acquisition of advanced language and teaching skills at prestigious educational institutions in the United States of America.
