The start of the graduate studies exams at the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and studies at Assiut University for the second semester of the academic year 2024/2025

The second-semester exams at the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and studies at Assiut University started on Thursday, May 22, 2025, and are scheduled to continue until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, and the supervision of Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and research, and with the follow-up from the Institute's Management represented by Dr. Amr Abdel Fattah, dean of the Institute, and Dr. Alaeddin Hamed, undersecretary of the Institute for graduate studies and research.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy explained that the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies is one of the strengths of the university, being the first Research Institute at the level of Egyptian universities in this specific specialization, and represents a practical model of the University's strategy aimed at supporting the conduct of Inter-and Applied Studies, which comes in light of the University's keenness to implement the objectives of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research according to the vision of Egypt 2030.

 

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, stressed the regularity of examinations for graduate studies at various stages (Diploma – Master – doctorate), with full compliance with the regulations governing the examination process, pointing out that the university follows the progress of examinations in its various colleges and institutes, keen to provide a safe and organized environment that contributes to the performance of students optimally.

 

He added that the university administration was keen to provide all means of comfort and support within the committees, including administrative and medical equipment, to ensure the proper conduct of exams, stressing that graduate students represent a fundamental pillar of scientific research, which the University puts at the forefront of its priorities in support of innovation and excellence.

 

In this context, Dr. Jamal Badr conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the work of the exams at the institute, where he was assured of the availability of the appropriate atmosphere within the committees, the regularity of attendance, and the extent of adherence to the procedures organized for the exams, according to the standards set by the university to ensure the discipline of the examination process.

 

During the tour, the vice-president of the university was accompanied by Dr. Amr Mohammed Abdel Fattah, dean of the Institute, Dr. Alaeddin Hamid Hassan, the Institute's undersecretary for graduate studies and research, and a number of faculty members supervising the exams.

 

For his side, Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel Fattah explained that the exams are conducted in an atmosphere of calm and discipline, and are performed this year by 33 students at the master's Level, 6 students at the doctoral level, and 4 students at the diploma level, stressing the need to adhere to academic standards in the preparation of exams, taking into account the specifications of the exam paper, in addition to organizing committees and ensuring the accurate and responsible work of all those responsible for the exam process.
