The objective of the Bachelor of Arts in Islamic studies is to develop in students the ability to examine critically the different aesthetic, intellectual, and cultural components of this civilization.
Each student is required to fulfill Arabic language requirements and take a common core of courses from Arabic Literature, Islamic Studies, Middle Eastern History, and Islamic Art and Architecture.
This department qualifies its graduates in accordance with the demands of the labor market locally and internationally in the fields of Ancient Egyptian Archaeology. The graduates are then able to upgrade the research in the fields overall discovered archaeology & excavations and Propagate archaeological awareness as well as academic counsels to monument sectors.
The Archeology department at the Faculty of Arts AUN aims to be distinguished in the field of Archeological studies to serve the local community.
The Department of Libraries, documentation, and information at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Assiut is a distinguished scientific center for qualifying human cadres in office, documentary, and information services. It supports the foundations of applied scientific research to serve the local community, to develop the environment, and to open channels for communication within the developed world in the field of libraries, documents and information.
Department of Libraries, Documentation, and Information is one of the specialized departments in the Faculty of Arts - Assiut University, and it works on:
1- Prepare qualified graduates for the labor market through training courses, workshops, and field training in various information institutions.
2- Prepare scientific research and scientific theses (Master's-PhD) in the various disciplines of the department.
3- Provide the society with Community service in the governorate of Assiut and the neighboring governorates through workshops and training courses for librarians and information specialists.
Media is the communication tool used to store and deliver information or data. The term refers to components of the mass media communications industry, such as print media, publishing, the news media, photography, cinema, broadcasting (radio and television), and advertising.
In the department of Media, we prepare students and qualify them to work with different media institutions like journalism, broadcasting, and T.V. This can be achieved by promoting our faculty and encouraging our scholar’s creativity and constructive criticism.
We play an influential role in academic research, serving the community, and solving its problems.
