   Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for conducting the business of Assiut Al-Ahlia University, chaired the meeting of the Academic Council of Assiut Al-Ahlia University, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the University's headquarters in the new city of Assiut.

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president for Academic Affairs, a number of deans of colleges, and Professor Mustafa Hassan, secretary general of the University, along with members of the Academic Council.

 

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president of the Republic, the state leaders, the great Egyptian people, and the Assiut University family of faculty members, staff and students, on the occasion of the approaching Eid al-Adha, praying to God to restore Egypt with good, Yemen and blessings, and with more security and stability.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy also thanked and appreciated the faculty members and staff, praising their sincere efforts in preparing well for the exams and supervising their implementation, and their commitment contributed to the success of the exams and providing a calm and prepared environment for students to perform their tests with ease. Dr. El-Minshawy directed me to quickly complete the correction work and announce the results as soon as possible, out of concern for the students ' interest.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut National University represents an extension of Assiut State University, and carries the same academic values and long-standing traditions while providing a modern and developed model in the higher education system, consistent with the state's trends in the development of university education to meet the needs of the labor market. He pointed out that the establishment of the University comes within the framework of the state's vision to expand the availability of university education opportunities and provide an integrated educational environment based on quality and modernity.

 

With regard to admission to the new academic year, Dr. El-Minshawy explained that the door for applying for the academic year 2025/2026 has not yet been opened, stressing that it will be announced in a timely manner through the official channels of the University, following the issuance of decisions of the Supreme Council of private universities on the minimum admission limits. He also appealed to students and parents to refer to official sources and not pay attention to any anonymous information.

 

Dr. Noobi Mohammed Hassan explained that the council reviewed during its meeting the position of equipping the laboratories of the Faculty of Human Medicine inside the central laboratory building, which are prepared according to the highest specifications to ensure a modern and integrated educational environment.

 

The council also approved the study regulations of the Faculty of Languages and applied languages for The Bachelor's degree with a credit hours system.

 

In the context of supporting the infrastructure, the council approved the equipping of three specialized laboratories at the Faculty of Computers and artificial intelligence, namely: the laboratory of networks, cybersecurity and the Internet of things, the laboratory of biomedical informatics, and the artificial intelligence laboratory.

 

The council concluded its discussions with several academic, administrative, and financial topics related to the University's faculties and its various sectors.
