Assiut University, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the university, participates in the activities of the second edition of the youth week of universities and schools of the central upper region of the New Assiut Technological University, which extends during the period from 16 until 20 from this February, under the supervision and presence of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president of the University for education and student affairs.

   The youth week of universities and schools of the central Upper Egypt region comes under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasser, governor of Assiut, Dr. Jamal Taj Abdul Jaber, president of the New Assiut Technological University, and Dr. Ali Mohammed Youssef, vice president of the New Assiut Technological University for education and student affairs.

  Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy praised the participation of Assiut University students in various competitions in the cultural, artistic, sports and scientific fields organized by the week, stressing the University's keenness to support its children permanently at all levels and in various fields, and to develop the spirit of loyalty and national affiliation through positive participation in student events and activities, allowing the exchange and transfer of experiences to participants.

  The opening events of the week included the participation of (12) a university, (8) schools, the opening of the scientific and food exhibition of the week, with the participation of (35) a project, and the participation of Assiut University in(4) scientific and technological projects, under the supervision of the faculties of engineering, commerce, and the scientific activity Department of the General Administration of student welfare at the University.

The events included introductory presentations about the participating universities, technical paragraphs, as well as awarding Shields and certificates of appreciation were handed over to the governor of Assiut, the vice-president of Assiut University, representatives of universities, participating institutes, and governorate leaders.

The program of the week includes various competitions and educational seminars for a select group of specialists, including: a religious seminar on the night of the half of Shaban, the holy month of Ramadan, the seminar "historical monuments of Egypt", a seminar on technology entitled: "creativity is your way to success", in addition to the entrepreneurship forum entitled: "The first step from idea to company", and includes multiple events.

  It is worth mentioning that the opening of the week was witnessed by the presence of Dr. Mohammed Abdul Malik, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for the tribal face, Dr. Essam Zanati, vice president of Badr University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Shiha, vice president of Sphinx University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Nabil Noureddine, vice president of merit University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Salah, dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Assiut University, a constellation of Deans, undersecretaries of the participating engineering and technological colleges, a crowd of university faculty members, leaders of the ministries of Education, Youth and sports in Assiut, the leaders of Assiut governorate, the principals of participating schools, school students, and participating universities.

  The participation of Assiut University comes under the supervision of Dr. Madiha Darwish, general supervisor of student activities at the University, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the student welfare department at the University, Mr. Mohammed Juma, director of the artistic activity Department, Mr. Hashem Sayed, director of the cultural activity Department, Mr. Ihab Ramadan, director of the sports activity Department, and Mr. Walid Zeidan, director of the scientific activity department at the General Administration of student welfare.
